I love it. They think that they are safe collecting their millions since no one had done anything to them yet.... and then BAM gone is their house and all their stuff. So many hours wasted scamming the system. I hope GMs have no mercy on these SOBs.

And what sort of scripts are we talking about? Skill gain scripts? All they're doing is pissing people off, it's not going to fix things as long as the problem is that the game is ENTIRELY endgame and there is absolutely no fun in raising a character to GM. But it's not like they'll ever fix that problem as long as buying premade characters will keep bringing them cash. It's stupid to just stick your fingers in your ears about a real PROBLEM about the game and blame the people trying to fix it. The point really isn't "Is it cheating to macro skills", but rather "Why is macroing skills so rampant?"

Unless there's another meaning to scripter that I'm not aware of. I will admit I'm out of the loop as to what scripters are doing :)

They won't be banning skill scripters, just the guys who have automated resource gather scripts, BOD gathering/turnin scripts, and heartwood quest running scripts that amass hundreds of millions of rare resources, tens of thousands of runic kits, hammers, saws and fletchers tools.

The dupe bugs were fixed last year, but there's still a few brokers and players they missed, flooding the market with duped event rares, artifacts, runic items, etc...

Players that use EUO or Speedhacks are an actual notable percentage, they have been working to fix the gameplay problems instead of banning those players. The players that are targeted are the ones who were making their RL living by exploiting UO.

They know exactly how, and where people macro skill gain. And they know exactly how to make skill gain damn near impossible to macro. So until they fix that and what Norture said about this game being purely end game based, there will always be macroers and people trying to cheat the skill gain system.

I'm glad to see them stop duping and scripters, but sadly it's really too late now. Most of the damage was done years ago with castle deed duping, and whatever the new thing was to dupe.

As far as macroing... I do it. I macro skill gains. I am good at it too. But I do it attended, and I don't use cheats to do it. I use UOAssist, and my keyboard to do it. The scripters that they are going after now are the ones that macro unattended, and use cheat programs to place houses, dupe, etc. More power to them. I might macro unattended long enough to get a drink or something. But today I went from 0 to 98.1 Chiv using macros I created.

I dont macro resource gathering, or use cheats to get ahead in game. I dont use cheats in Pvp. Or while placing houses. But I do love UOAssist. I do love my keyboard. That is one reason among many I won't convert to KR.
