Lord Tarothin and Lady Imryrr,

Your campaign in the northern regions of the main continent have taken crucial attention away from the southern border of the empire, particularlly the Ebon Spire and it's surrounding regions.

Our slaves have reported small legions of scouts in our forests, seeming quite prepared to devour our settlement whole. It is with great urgency that I, and the lich lord himself, request you halt the Yew campaign and aid Dar'Mournvas Aloak in the defense of the Ebon Spire and the Britain Farmlands.

Walk in Darkness,
Azunda

Azunda finished writing the letter with a smile.

"Cleric, come here." Azunda demanded, reading over the letter once more with glee.

"Yes, my lord?" spoke the cleric in a curious tone, noticing Azunda reading the letter.

"Read this letter, tell me if it's convincing." Azunda laughed, handing the cleric the letter.

Carefully, the cleric read over the letter. Once concluded, the cleric seemed quite confused. "My lord, I don't understand. I haven't heard any such reports from the slaves."

"There haven't been any reports, cleric." Azunda whispered, standing from his chair. "Gather the brethren, order them to wreak havoc upon the spire. Gather locals from the farmland, dress them in ornate robes and armor, then slaughter them in our halls. Make it convincing, then order all brethren to evacuate. A rendezvouz point shall be revealed at a later time."

The cleric bowed his head, returned the letter to Azunda, and left the Ebon Spire. Azunda, quite pleased with his devious plot, attached the letter to his pet vulture's claw, and sent it off to Dark Cove.

After reading the letter, he called for a scribe to write a return.

The Protectorate must be moving on Mazewood then. When the scribe arrived he motioned to him and just started speaking.

Azunda,

This news you bring to me annoys me greatly. It seems the Protectorate wish to surround the northern corner and to cut us off from being able to help Mazewood or yourselves.

I will send what I can to investigate and lend necessary support.
