In all honestly, Spawn is a good friend of mine. I can rely on him for pretty much anything.

Although you may be plenty buttered up by now Spawn (and I bet you're enjoying it, mmm butter), you need to realize that you and I are not much different in this category. We have spoke, in length, about how you and I go through many of the same situations in this RP community.

We're both twinks.
We both have no idea how to roleplay.
We both tried to destroy people's real-lives.

The list goes on.

But I know you very well, Spawn. Your PvP was not dictating your RP. Your RP was dictating your PvP. Anyone who tells you different probably lost to you in a duel, or you killed them at the battle, or something. Just some griefer who's ego was destroyed by your awesome PvPness (see what I did there?).

Sign back on. Jump in vent. Grab a doughnut (you're a cop). And have fun.

I have just seen the boards for the first time today and I thank you all for your support with your posts. To clearify things, I'm aware I did not break any of the rules of engagement. What bothers me is that I'm not been seen as Spawn the roleplayer anymore but as Spawn the godly pvper which is something I do not want. Yeah, I'm good at UO PvP so what? What about my roleplay abilities?

Most of the roleplayers in this community have roleplayed with me since the start of this game. All of the sudden that all gets thrown out the window because I can handle myself in pvp? This Oggaroth plot that I'm currently doing seems to be seen by some people in this community as a way to take ooc vengence on people.

The reason I wish to take a "breather" so to speak is because these before mentioned people who just see me as a twink are going to get me to the point I'm going to do something that I will regret. And I do not want to do that because I'm not that type of person. I just want to roleplay... nothing more nothing less. As for my break, I'll take a few days off then maybe I'll come back. Thank you.

Spawn,

I have known you since you started playing in Rivendell. We have been like family over the years. You now have the skills you worked toward for years and years.

You are a special breed of roleplayer that can back up his roleplay with ability. Many of us can not. That is something you should be proud of and NEVER feel ashamed of it. If someone is telling you that you are a twink they are just jealous because they are not able to achieve the level of excellence you have. It is sad when people can not allow others to be better than they are and learn by example but some are unable to take a loss gracefully. I have seen that happen over and over again. If you need a break take one but don't ever think that anyone else is thinking the same way as the soar looser.

I love you sweety so please don't stay away too long. hugglesmilie

Spawn ole friend. You taught me alot when i first came to Sanctus. I don't think any different of you. You still RP well even though you are a great pvp'er. I don't like fighting a god (oggy) all the time cause game mechanics dont work well with it. But we have had some good RP from training me... to handing me the division upon your retirement...to torching me as Oggy...and all that. Maybe a break to think is all good but I think you just need to figure out where you wanna take the Oggy story to and all....i dunno. just an opinion. If you quit though...I drive to NY and hurt you!(its only 2 hours)

Spawn has a thirst for PvP, once you taste it, it's hard to go back. Many of us in the community have it, in every guild, whether you be poor, good, or amazing at PvP. Everyone wants to fight (except for the small percentage of those who just like to rp none warriors.) Every guild awaits a battle and usually takes the first one given to them. Nearly every member of every guild gets excited for trainings and battles. People want to PvP, there is no point feeling bad that you looked for it so much.

Well boys and girls...

Due to me having a very very very very very very very very good Saturday night and finding myself in a relationship now.... I have decided to resume roleplaying on UO. And I will continue to roleplay as Oggaroth. So all you people who don't like it... tough poopies! I was going to give myself a few days from the game but since I had such a great night and I finally feel happy, I said to myself screw the drama and just be both Spawn the rper and the pvper. So to all those people who wanted to come back and/or never leave... you got your wish! Because I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

Mods... please lock this thread since I think it's a bit over and done with. I'll be on the Q if you guys need me! Thank you!
