It had been a long and tiring day of reinforcing wards upon all the properties in Thraxstadt. The need for stronger spells was needed and it drained Ishtar's energy. Yet, her husband's proclamation made it necessary to protect those in their care. She left Whitehall for last as it was home and she knew she could retire a bit after her incantations were finished.

She let out a deep "sigh" as she finished the last of her spells. Now only those known may enter the building. Those who wish entry must wait for the proper words to be uttered to allow safe passage. She climbed the marble stairs exhausted and was soon bombarded by the children asking to go visit their "Aunt". Ishtar did not tell them of her disappearance and knew now it was time as it could not be hidden for much longer.

"Children, I have not told you of this as you have not asked about Lady temptation until now, but she is missing.", she saw the fear and worry on Anduril's and Tahira's faces and put up her hand in a silencing gesture, then continued, "We know where she is and are working to get her back safely. I did not want to worry either of you."

Tahira and Anduril looked at each other and then their mother, and then Tahira said, "Mother, why would someone hurt her? Was it Malic?"

Ishtar shook her head and regarded her daughter, "It was not Malic, he has been working with Lord Scaramandine to find her. We are not entirely sure of the motive yet, but will find out. Now do not worry and go return to your studies as your father will be home shortly."

"Yes mother.", they both answered in unison and scurried off.

Ishtar collapsed in her chair in front of the fireplace. There were so many worries and unknowns now. Life should not be this complicated, she knew deep down that was just not her destiny, but wished for some peace for now. Her gods and goddesses blessed her with a family and a loving husband, and yet there was always something in the way of them living a quiet home life.

There was so much to do still and so little time to do it. Oggaroth was again an issue and this time she would make sure he will not be returning when she found a way to be rid of him. She curled up and took a nap with that thought in mind...
