Having delivered his news, Thomas returned home. Pol, his wife and life partner, was sleeping soundly in the other room. He hates keeping her in the dark, but in times like this, he was concerned that if she knew what he was up to she would put her foot down. He has never been able to withstand that, so he knew if he wanted to get done what had to be done he would do so now, and ask for forgiveness later.

It is days like these last couple of days that Thomas feels his age. Days where he sees Hate and Hypocrisy running amok. He asks himself how someone can deceive themselves so, and the people around them. How can they not see the truth when it is so blatant? They must hate themselves as much as they hate their enemies to deceive themselves so. The hate must be so extreme that they are willing at any cost to spew it forth.

Thomas smiles as he thinks of the future. He sees one filled with hope and possibilities with the Protectorate. He knows that we are sitting on the eve of something good, something that the people can believe in, and participate in. That is what he has been looking for, and he feels that he has found it among other truths. Yes, this is going to be a bright day, a good day, a glorious day.

The sound of the door opening and closing had awoken Pol from a much needed sleep, sitting up slowly she placed her hand on stomach and looked to the door,"Thomas...?,"she called out then slid her feet to the floor and stood up.

Reaching down she grabbed her robe and slid it on then moved to the bedroom door, pulling it open she sighed as she saw the light from under the door of his study.

Taking a deep breathe she stepped into the hall then moved to the door, knocking lightly she pushed it open and looked to him,"love please...its nearly dawn..come to bed...,"she said as she walked over and stood beside him,"sometimes I think you are preparing yourself for our sleepness nights yet to come..,"she asked as her hand rested on her stomach.

She could tell by his eyes he was exhausted yet she could also sense he was keeping something from her, something that he thought was best she know nothing of...at least not yet.
