Each morning citizens of Yew, Felucca, awake to find leaflets posted on walls and doors of munincipal buildings:

"Citizens of Yew!

For years our fair town has been unwillingly subject to a tyrant who stole the throne from my sister, Queen Lilyth Noir, who ruled us all wisely and well until she abdicated. Using every conceivable deceit and manipulation upon her troubled mind, Sid the Usurper (who does not deserve nor have right to be King) claims the throne from me, the rightful heir to it. Even now he takes great, and fruitless, pains, to remove any references to me and my heritage within the archives, further evidence of his malignity and mendacity toward the truth of our illustrious history.

The burden of his opression is well-known and widespread, for hundreds of your former citizens have fled to my barony for refuge. Thus conscience and justice demand that his tyrannies be put to an end!

Even now powerful forces of Honor and Liberation advance toward Yew to throw off his vile yoke forever. Let him and his ilk remain in Trammel, where they may vainly imagine themselves safe, but they shall be hurled from among us like the contemptible knaves and refuse they are!

Rejoice! For the coming of a new day in Yew and the return of the true and rightful heir and King is at hand!

Thraxanduril
Baron of Thraxstadt"

Large Posters are found affixed to the doors of the Yew Bank

Let it be known that The Kingdom of Yew and it's holdings are allied to the Britannian Protectorate. The Britannian Protectorate affirms it's right to recognize any transgression of the Kingdom of Yew and it's holdings as a formal declaration of war on the Britannian Protectorate itself, and will be responded to as such.

Lord Adrien Garnier,
Governor-Regent Elect
The Britannian Protectorate

"Take this to the Protectorate at once..." Spawn said handing a piece of parchment to his servant Grendel Poxcur somewhere in Yew. The servant nodded slightly taking the parchment and starting to rode off. Spawn then glanced over to his priest Lomar slowly walking past him towards the Empath Abbey which was in sighting distance. "Come Lomar, we have work to do" said Spawn unsheathing his katana holding it with a tight grip. Lomar nodded as he followed his master in the direction. The parchment which Grendel was holding said the following:

Governor Regent,

It is clear that you did not take my warnings at your meeting last night seriously. Instead, you decided to treat me like an annoysome fly. You do not know what you are getting yourself into Garnier. Your feeble mind does not understand the full power of Oggaroth. I do appreciate the "gift" of letting me go last night and will be giving you a gift in return. The gift Garnier, is your life and lives of your mindless puppets of the Protectorate. I'm going to give some words of wisdom: Make the wise decision and stay out of Felucca. I suggest that you take my words seriously this time Garnier for to ingore them and march into Felucca would be futile. If you still do not take me seriously as you read this letter, so be it. I do make one promise to you Garnier. If I see one solider under the banner of the Protectorate anywhere in Felucca, ten citizens of my choosing shall pay the price of your defiance with their lives. Listen to reason Garnier, Yew belongs to Thraxanduril now, not Sid and I shall make sure it stays that way. Good day to you Garnier.

Entering the Abbey bank, the Baron saw and read the flier posted by the Governor-Regent.

"Now we shall see if the Protectorate can truly protect," he remarked, as he went to conduct his business.

Adrien has copies of Spawn's letter sent to all allies and friends of the Protectorate with this addition:

Friends...the Dark Order reveals their barbaric nature openly at last! Ten citizens? What further proof do we need?
