Synful rolled over and slid her hand over the bed,a soft sigh escaping her lips as she felt the empty space,sitting up she rubbed her eyes then slid her feet to the floor. Lighting a candle she stood up and looked to the clock beside their bed,"12:30 in the morning...,"she said then sat the candle down and slipped into her robe.

Tying it closed she picked up the candle once again and moved out of their bedroom then down the hall to the stairs,peering down she saw the light of a candle eminating from his study.

"One of these days I'm going to hide those blame maps..."

Shaking her head with a smile she moved down the stairs then across the floor,knocking gently she pushed open the door and stepped inside.

"Gaise those maps will be here in the morning..."

Moving over to him she sat the candle down on his desk then slipped behind him,her hands moving to his shoulders. Her long red hair falling down over his shoulder as she read over the maps.

"You've been at this for hours....come to bed please..."

Pushing her hair back she smiled as she saw the maps of the Tokuno islands.

"Getting acquainted with everything I see...perhaps if you come to bed you can tell me what your plan is?"

Taking a deep breath, Gaise leans back into his lover's arms. "Just trying to come up with some patrol ideas for the Shogun... I am not sure i realized how dangerous a place these islands could be when the Empress' factor negotiated our services."

Her grip about his shoulders tightened slightly, and he immediately added," I know... There was no way we could have taken a different job, considering Annawen had added her voice to that of the Empress. I am just saying that I probably should have added a hazard surcharge is all." At this, he turned and winked slyly at the firebrand he had recently let into every aspect of his life.

"Gods...For a moment I thought you were being serious, you oaf!" At that, she turns and swishes seductively towards the stairs, speaking without facing him," Are you coming to bed with me, or staying down here with a bunch of crusty old parchments?"



Well, putting it like that... Chuckling to himself, Gaise quickly rolled up his maps and headed for the stairs.
