Poppy entered the Baron's office holding a sealed envelope. "This just came for you, sir," she said placing it on his desk. He acknowledged it with a nod and she exited the room.

As he opened it, Thrax noted there was no official seal. "Ah, a secret admirer perhaps?" he said with a slight grin.

"Dear Baron,

Greetings from an old friend whom you knew as the Eye of Oggaroth. Please pass on the contents of this letter to all your associates in the Regency if you would? It would sure save me a little time.

I am writing to you on behalf of another, Someone who will one day command your allegiance, or else be the instrument of your doom.

I speak of your former Master, Oggaroth.

Thanks to the aid of some very special friends the spell of unbinding placed upon him were undone. Furthermore, he has resumed control of his former Avatar, Lord Spawn, by his permission. My Master and I have all of you to thank, and everyone else who humiliated and rejected him as Sheriff, for making that possible. You all must truly continue along the fine path of the Virtue Compassion. It makes our work so much simpler!

I send along his personal regards to you, Baron, and to extend his invitation for you to join us. I strongly urge you to accept his offer for it will not come again. The choice is yours. Submit and join us, or die.

You need not reply. I am very hard to find. Besides, we will find you first.

Thrax let the letter fall from his hand. He sighed deeply, his brow furrowing in dismay as his head drooped. "It begins again!"
