I was just a newbie when I visited Hope for the BWC founding, but I'll add what I can remember. If anyone can remember more, add to this or correct me it would be much appreciated.

Hope was situated either in or around the Fen's of the Dead and was good aligned. The main thing I remember about visiting them between December 1998 and Febuary 1999 was their sense of anxiety and eagerness at moving their city to the Lost Lands. At the time they were talking to Seers about where to setup. One of the dead end passes with a large field at the end was the intended spot.

I do not know what change in policy at OSI made their talks end, but soon after the sense of activity and eagerness that was in the city died down with members mostly speaking bitterly.

The other thing I remember about the City of Hope is they allowed shady characters to rp in their city and guild, random pking was not allowed but exceptions were made for storylines.

Most of the site is broken, so I'm not sure how long those pages will last there. I'm copying as much as I can to the wiki in case it goes offline in the future.

I added all 10 issues of The Hope to the Wiki, and hosted the pictures on the server so they won't be lost in case that site ever goes down. Enjoy.
