Much was changing around Audrina, but one thing seemed to be remaining constant, her fertility. She placed a hand over the slight bump on her belly and stared into the book on her lap. No longer would she be able to hide the growing belly and she knew it was time she told Beowulf.
She laid the book down and went for her robe and cloak. She would go to Cove.
She looked at the gathering directly in front of Armunn Keep. Despite his change in wardrobe she could point her husband out at first glance. His dark robe covered nearly all his face, but his white beard peaked through.
”Beowulf” she said into the crowd. He looked towards her as she motioned for him to follow.
This talk was not unlike the talks before,
”I am with child.”
”Again?”
Each of them then releasing a heavy sigh followed by a soft laugh. However, Audrina knew she must tell him the one thing he would not wish to hear, but she had no expected to receive a surprise in return.
”I will continue to train and fight. I will serve Umbra before I serve this child.”
Beowulf stared at her a moment and nodded, ”I understand.”
He understands? What is this? Normally, the man sitting across from her would have outraged against the thought of his child being put in harms way, but something was different. His demeanor began to change as his eyes darted towards her.
”I will not give another child of mine to Umbra. I have given enough.” He looked at her, his expression cold.
They both knew that she would object and so she did. The argument continued with no glimpse of compromise. Audrina rose from her chair and proceeded to the door. Beowulf had always given her what she wanted even if it took some persuasion.
Not this time.
To her surprise she felt his hands grip her shoulders, launching her backwards.
”There will be no more talk of this. I will raise the child in the ranks of the Dark Order.”
Beowulf’s defiance placed feelings inside of her that mixed up much confusion. On one hand, she was proud of his change and in this she felt more attracted to her husband, but on the other she was irritated. She allowed the irritation to overcome.
She made her way back to Umbra in a storm of rage. How dare he. She ripped off her cloak and threw it to the ground. Her eyes caught a glimpse of the book laid upon the table.
I am an incomplete man.
You are my good side, you complete me.
I love you and promise to care for you like no other man has cared for his wife.
She picked up the book and hurled it across the room. Her eyes welled up with tears as she stared across the room at the cover. Tatiana Alexi
She inhaled deeply as she made her way to the door. Stepping outside her toes immediately met an unfamiliar wetness. She looked up at the sky and held out her hands.
It was snowing. _________________ Darrien_Church: he asked what was the church of england based on

The bolt of cold blue light shot up into the sky, the overload of cold pouring from Merci's blue skin and hands.
Ask any that knew Merci, she was a reasonable person, except when her ire was brought full swing. A lycans temper becomes a rage in moments.
Returning inside she saw Audrina and soon learned that she was pregnant. Much to her dismay Beo arrived soon offer. The man was proud, arrogant, and rude . Yet everyone already knows this.
He'd demanded, and showing little respect for either matriarch, that the child be raised in cove, which of course didnt go over well. How would Audrina be in Umbra and take care of a babe in cove? The man gave her a headache, and were Merci and Beo fitted with stones there is no doubt heavy boulders would be flying across the room.
Yet it was true Umbra only demanded one child be given to their army and Merci did not debate this. However only, a child of Umbra, would be allowed the advances that many in Umbra had worked for. So very clearly Merci made it known:
There will be none of our WIT program advances used on this child, no pregnancy growth supplements, no resistance fortification potions, no growth supplements after birth. Sadly Audrina you will have to carry that child to term...... 40 weeks....
That which Umbra had worked hard for would stay in Umbra, perhaps if Beo was more reasonable Merci would have been to. Sadly it was Audrina that left with a sad look on her face, as she would pay the price. What Merci pondered the most as Beo constantly kept saying, the child will be mine..
His? Did he not claim the other four? Had not Ceinwyn and she stood delivering many babes of his? What silliness was this? His? She shook her head the pain in her neck growing, the man made no sense truly, had he just came and simply yet with a bit less arrogance stated his intentions, Merci would have thought nothing of it. Yet the man acted as if Umbra had forced the other babes from him. She wasnt sure what went on in the Thormear household but she hoped that some of the many children Beo claimed to have given Umbra's army would show up in a battle one day... _________________ May destiny guide you... |

"I'm with child."
Those words had become like a stern kick to the groin. It seemed like everytime he turned around, there were rugrats running around his home. One child was border line dead, the other was sent away to study, the other was working on his grammer around the clock and trying to not resemble the intelligence of an orc, the other was spoiled, the list went on.
"Again?" Beowulf sighed, sounding disappointed.
"I will continue to train and fight. I will serve Umbra before I serve this child." Audrina stated.
"That's fine. If the child dies during your battle time, it wasn't meant to be." Beowulf stated
Audrina looked towards Beo with a blank stare.
"If the child is too weak to survive in the womb, it deserves to die. Now, this child will not be trained with Umbra..." Beowulf began to press on in an argument.
The two argued back and forth, neither giving any ground. Beowulf had allowed five children to be raised by Umbrians and trained by them. Not once did he demand one be trained by Moonglow. Not once did he try to part them from that path. This time however, he wasn't taking "no" for an answer. His children were basically the Matriarchs puppets, and Audrina's shot to fame with Ceinwyn and Merci.

Beowulf stood in front of the large statue in the middle of Minoc. He stared South, towards the decaying barricade that the Dark Order was dismantling. Victory was theirs this night, Minoc was taken over. The Northern corner controlled by the Dark Order. Beowulf rubbed his neck gently and yawned.
I had intentially joined Tarothins ranks to aid in the defeat of Minoc. It has taken little time however, to grow fond of his desires to create an Empire. Within a short period of time, I now stand devoted to the Dark Order. I wish to press on, with the rest of the Dark Order, at Tarothins side to conquer the rest of the felucian facet. Divine leadership, balance to the people. Those who oppose us will fall, those who aid us will prosper, and those who go along with it will live joyously and safely, under our protection.
Audrina is with child, yet she still fights just as hard. Tonight I watched as she entered battle, voluntarily aiding Dark Cove against Minoc. Not surprised though, she has the heart of a fierce warrior. Although her neglect of some virtues, leaves her weaker than what she could be. If only she was experienced enough to understand the true meaning of the virtues, such as Honor, Justice and Sacrafice.
I love my wife, regardless of what others believe. We are much more disfunctional than most married couples, but our circumstances are rare. It was taken sometime, but with no force, she has grown on me. The sway of her long, gorgeous, black hair. The way she walks, so proud and confident, yet so cautious and graceful. Stubborn and proud, just like myself, never wanting to give an inch of room. The way she grasps me, whether it be out of anger, lust, or casual conversation. I no longer see her as the woman who cursed me into seeding her. Perhaps it's because I have begun to feel differently about life. Audrina carry's the Thormear name proudly and would do anything to benefit it.
"You chose her, not me. You wrote these vows for her, not me." She told me this, while throwing the book in front of me. It was clear that she was jelous, more so upset, of the love I shared with Tatiana. It was then and there that I truly understood that deep down, she loved me. She would never say it outloud, I don't expect her lips to shape the words in my presence, for quite some time atleast. Regardless, I love my wife. |
