Sunday December 2nd: 9:30pm Eastern
(While the date was not quite the winner, Mayor Prower is unable on other dates).
Capture the ... erm... Tricorne hat.
This is an idea and I wonder if you folks would be interested in.
A capture the flag event in Trinsic (since it's nicely defendable]. The flag will be a neon green (or at least one of the bright green bod clothes) tricorne hat for visibility, worn by me, Sir Robert.
The lightbringers would defend it, the evils (or whomever would simply want to kick the lightbringers rear ends) would try to invade Trinsic, defeat me and loot the hat, then return to the moongate.
Rules:
-Looting is just permitted of the carrier of the flag.
-Whomever has the flag, HAS to wear it
-No mounts
-No recalling inside Trinsic, or with hat in possession.
-One death
-Medium (drake strength) pets only, one per tamer. Pet is removed from fight when tamer dies.
-All involved guilds have to be warred to all of the other side.
-No stealthing with hat. HAT MUST BE VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES.
-TCOH will provide robes for teams. (Purple for Trinsic Defender, black for attacker). Robes must be worn at all times until killed.
Set up:
Guilds involved will war each other and 10 minutes before begin meet in a neutral area, to make sure the opposite side is orange. Neutral area will be the stage south of Britain. (I'm part of the H*G/Sanctus alliance, thus war invites have to go to the House of the Gauntlet)
Defenders will set up position in Trinsic.
Attackers will gate in at their location OUTSIDE of trinsic.
Goal:
The Goal is to kill me, Sir Robert and loot the green hat. Whoever has the hat, has to wear it before moving. Once the hat is in the possession of the attacker, they have to head to the Trinsic moongate on foot, and enter the moongate.
Winning situations:
1. Defender defeat all attacker.
or
2. Attacker escape with the hat into the moongate.
Additional:
Unwarred parties can be invited as independent referees.
As looting is part of it, DO NOT bring uninsured items that you would hate to lose. Remember that potions, reagents and bandages can be easily replaced. Any complains of being looted at this event will be met with blank stares and a "why did you bring it then?" response. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs
I'll try to talk a few into attending, no matter what Imy might say. _________________ **************************************

This is Sir Roberts idea and I thank him for it! I will be making the robes and such. I will be a neutral party in this so I will be around to help heal all sides but remember one death rule. BTW the robes will be a little different in color made from Bod Fabric Cloth But as a gift for participating you get to keep yours as a gift IF you can keep it from getting looted. If you can't then well I will make extras just in case.

*the following is a lie*
Well the event went really well. thanks for everyone who showed up.
In all seriousness i was the only one who showed up. Community. with such strick tavern rules we have these days and no neutral zones. Get together more and hang out. even if its ooc. The capture the hat will be reschedualed. _________________ U6Online|| Welcome to Blackrock||Sunrise, Isle of the Avatar||Automatic Roleplay
To be honest, I had completely forgotten that it was tonight. We had planned an Honesty Sermon to kick off a plot we were doing for the guild, and like two hours before it started, I was reminded about the CoF tonight. I apologize for no MTC being there. We just had really needed to start this plot. Again, I apologize. _________________ Through all else, let Honesty lead you!

I was looking forward to it, the majority of the community was doing the Minoc plot. Oh well. _________________ "Knowledge is not information, it's transformation."

Despite the lack of participants I had fun. It was nice just hanging out ooc. I personally think that a community needs this.
Maybe we can specify a tavern where the ooc/ic line is a bit blurry? A "Hang out place." I could offer the KOS taverns for it. There is one in Trammel and one in Fel.
Otherwise. Cear not only got the hat, but also a cake for his effort.
For the next date. Well, we have to wait and see when it can be done.
I'll be willing to try it again on Sunday, December 16th, just in case. Same meeting place and same time: 9:15pm at the Britain Fairgrounds.
For those who need an IC reason: "I challenge you herewith to meet me in Trinsic and to try to get my hat at a time that needs to be determined. I doubt that you will manage to get enough people together for that time. Neener neener neener!" So, there you have it, a not-quite serious in character challenge from a not quite serious paladin.
And as seen in the video: I do sucketh at pvp. I am just surprised I survived longer than 2 seconds. _________________ Reality, the refuge of those who fail in RPGs
Please hold a second one, Robert. I wanted to go to this but.. well I was an innocent victim of the Minoc defenders last night, so I had to at least try to muster some revenge.
You know I would like nothing more than to destroy Trins.. er.. capture your hat.
As far as an ooc/ic lines blurry tavern goes, I have to disagree. I already get frustrated when I cannot tell if something is IC or OOC. I feel like OOC at a tavern would be like a waste of time for my character. This forum is the most that I like OOC, other than some communication methods.
Plus some people have enough trouble as it is staying IC. This kind of tavern would just make it worse for them, especially newbs.
I also think that a blurry tavern would be hard on the eyes.

lol, I did save a lot of money when I switched. Damn once they came back to NJ since NJ has the highest car insurance rates in the country, I saved over $100 per month.
