Good idea Alexander, I dropped off my comp to geek squade after backing up pictures and documents I had saved. Hopfully restoring the factory settings and completly wiping the computer of everything will dislodge the little bugger but I will be taking your advice as to the copy paste thing. _________________ It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. - Samuel Adams |

That really suxxors man. ANYONE hacking ANYTHING is wrong. Especially if there's bad intentions behind it. As far as I know, keyloggers are included in Lavasoft's Adaware application. Its a MUST to have something like it in addition to your primary virus scanning software. From what I've learned, these types of viruses are hard to get rid of because they hide so well. Adaware is the application I use for anti trojan/spyware/adware. As long as you have up-to-date definitions you should be able to clean it out.
Here's the URL: http:\\www.lavasoft.com
Download Adaware SE personal. Its free. And it works great.
As far as it logging your new password when you type it in, if you're sure the key logger is gone, only then would I type it in on THAT PC you have the virus on. I would swap PCs for the time being (if possible)
Just some advice bro from someone who's going to school about this kind of thing and been in your shoes before.[/url] |

If you've dropped off the computer already, have someone change your password from their PC, since if you changed yours recently while still infected, the hackers will probably have it and will be able to login again. _________________ "There are those who dream to escape reality, and there are those who dream to change it." |
