Since I did not get to post my opinion on the voting system before it was locked I am starting the thread again so that the rest of the guild leaders get a chance to say what they think. If you are not giving your opinion on voting do not post in this thread. those that have already been heard do not need to post again.

I agree with the 1 vote per guild.

Here's what I recommend since Taro said everyone involved had a canidate.

Why not make a list of all the canidates and rank them 1 through 5(assuming 5 canidates) And no two people could have the same number. Person will the most points wins. That way you don't get 5 canidates each with one vote, because their own guild voted for them.

You've confused me sir. No two people can have the same number. So lets say Spawn is 1 and Cein is 2 Sid is 3 etc.. if MTC votes for #4 and OS votes #4 but Umbra votes #2...its whoever has the most wins? Thats like voting per name..

Exactly say there is five people running: Beo, Molly, Walter, Bailos, Isk

Voter one, Voter one believes in the good of virtue and light there for bailos and isk fall at the lower ranks

Beo: 4
Molly: 5
Walter: 3
Bailos: 1
Isk:2

Voter Two is exact opposite follows necromancy and evil hence Bailos is towards thetop with molly at the bottom

Beo: 2
Molly: 1
Walter: 3
Bailos: 5
Isk: 4

Voter three is a middle ground person who doesn't feel for either pure evil or pure good. Hence Walter the middle man gets the high vote and bailos and molly fall low

Beo: 4
Molly: 2
Walter: 5
Bailos: 1
Isk:3

Results

Beo: 10
Molly: 7
Walter: 11
Bailos: 8
Isk: 9

This way the most extreme canidates won't win and the middle ground canidates usually do

This is too confusing. Plus, we have a few middle ground people.

What if we did that for guilds only? So each guild would rank the candiates maybe?

Exactly, otherwise you get 1 vote for everyone cause each guild votes for their person

it was just an idea, i ain't involved was just thinking it would prevent a bunch of ties.

And they would still vote for those they support. It isn't a perfect system, there is no perfect voting system this is just another option that has been used irl and shown to be good in some sitations mostly when there is alot of canidates

Might I add... Gailan is away until Saturday and while I know his stance and what he is wanting, I do not feel comfortable posting for him.

That is... a really really good idea. I love that.
