I posted my IC post in response.

Unless things are approved by the leaders of D|O, consider ALL messengers trying to post up flyers or posters to be killed by either D|O or the Shadow Wraiths. Before people would be arrested, but then executed depending on the contents of what they were trying to post.

Tarothin thinks that people have not learned their lesson and so is killing first and then asking questions later concerning these actions.

We are trying to keep our lands clean from pointless litter and to save the trees. Smile

Thanks.

This is what I was talking about in the Summit. It's locked so you can't even leave a response...

Well, I thought the killings and such would inform people that Dark Cove is not that nice of an area. Err I mean is strongly against the pollution of it's natural landscape...

Please (to everyone but allies) consider us hostile. I know we are still really small and still trying to rebuild, but take the RP into consideration. I mean the shadow wraiths are still dotting the landscape and are there killing outsiders.

So yeah... Razz just take note that whatever governments/lightbringer happenings etc. are going on... it is most likely just sending someone to die. In which case, how good are they, knowing that you're just sending a person to their death? Those lightbringers are evil I swear!!! Razz

Twisted Evil

This topic has been edited for nice-ness/flaming.

P.S. Edited again. Please include at least a modicum of subject matter in your posts.

The post was locked upon the request of the poster, feel free to respond IC in a different thread, remember, its only a single post and the lock does not mean that the subject cannot be posted on unless specifically stated.

Remember, unless stated by a moderator, a lock does not equal a gag order.

At the same time guys I find it...mildly entertaining that your characters know these messengers are coming and wait for them given no in game or IC posts stating such.

It's worth pointing out that the posts never stated that anyone was sitting around waiting for the messengers to show up and post something.

In a city, it's also somewhat obvious when a person pins up a notice or tacks up a decree.

Yes, "knowing" something is going to happen then acting is one thing, but reacting to something that happened is not only acceptable, but expected.

To play devils advocate, it would be feasible (although in fairness, a very poor tactic) for them to "shoot on sight" any strangers. And as Baldy pointed out, it isn't like it would be overly difficult for a patrol/guards to spot someone tacking up a notice.

So you pluralized this for what reason? As Bailos said, we weren't sitting around waiting for any messengers.

a. Ceinwyn went to Dark Cove to extend an invitation and happened across it.

b. The messenger's body was dumped at Taro's feet.

Did you even read the IC post before commenting?

Why is this argument even happening, anyway?

Surely you guys can find something better to argue over, rather than a dead NPC (who isn't even a real NPC to begin with).

This is the problem with cross-medium roleplay. Yes, I view the IC board a separate roleplay medium that is linked with Atlantic. How could it be otherwise? This is why, myself personally, no matter what medium of roleplay or server I am on, if they have an IC board and I have need of it, I post nothing more then past events (happened IG or not IG) as opposed to present, otherwise you end up leaving the post open for a roleplayed reply, and I feel that the roleplayed replies should happen in game.

This is just how I would do it and how I feel about it, not suggesting that it is the right way or the only way to do it. Take it or leave it.

Besides pointing out many factors why the person would be caught in such a small town, with the history of the cursed land of shadow wraiths that seek out and want to destroy all those that are living and with the lawful evil militaristic guild that demands that their laws and order are met that live on the land...

I agree with Vaen. It's pointless.

Please lock the post. Didn't realise that this was a touchy subject.
