Dear Father,

I hope this letter reaches you, and that you are well. I know it has been some time since we’ve seen each other. I understand that you are probably still angry with me. And I understand. I just wish that you could understand why I was reading what I was.. It was not intentionally done to make you think that I was betraying umbra…It was simply for a better understanding.. After all, everything seemed so one sided.. We were always told that the light bringers were wrong, but we were never quite told why. Only what we were thought to be true.

I only hope that one day you understand my search for understanding all knowledge. I search for enlightenment.. To know why things are the way they are, and know both sides.

I hope one day, that you will be proud to call me your daughter again. You may not call me “daughter”, but you are still my father, and no one can ever take your place.

You were an Umbran, Yours was not the place to ask why but to follow what you had been taught. The classes you were made to attend would have enlightened you as to why our hatred of the lightbringers and what they stand for is so strong.

If one doesnt take the time to ask why, and simply waits to have the information told to them, what is learned? Notihng..

Aye, maybe one day things will find some sense of being normal. But then again it may be too late.
