Looking over the horizon one last time, old memories resurface and a smile grows upon the face of Kotare. It was only days ago that he had a vision. A vision that would alter his existance forever. An alteration that would give him a chance to be rid of his vampirism. The cost however comes without a bit of irony. Since his siring, Kotare has felt alone. His kind was always secretive and untrusting. Hence the few friends he had grown attached to were always kept at a distance. The choice would mean that he would also have to leave them behind.

::The Vision:: The creator comes down from the sky above decending upon Kotare's position. He speaks with a deep and loud booming voice. "does thou seek new Life Kotare, son of BlackWind?"

For the first time in a long time, Kotare knew fear and was too scared to answer. The form before him was a bright illuminating light that hid the creator's true form. You have been burdend by your troubles long enough. I seek to give you the path of redemption. Before you lays the road you walked all your existance. It never ends and is full of sorrow and heart break. But through my divine intervention, I have placed another path before you. It leads to power, freedom of will and all walks of existance shall come to fear and respect you. The Choice is yours...

The bright figure that was once standing before Kotare in his dream flashes into nothingness and the long dark road ahead shows many terrors. Yet, in the distance, he can see a golden path. One filled with hope and his heart begins to lift as he starts to run towards it. He ignores all the sorrow, all the heart ache and all the pain as all the would be terrors unleash their assault upon him. They cut him, they sting him and they burn him. But determination will not be stoped and his will shall not be broken. He reaches the golden path and stands before it. He bleeds for the first time in ages. He feels pain, his skin full of burns and sweat. He's alive!

In the moment he realizes he is nolonger a vampire, he falls to his knees and cries tears of joy. He knows he is dying and soon he collapses only missing the golden road save for his hand. It falls upon the golden sand and his last breath is taken. With nothing to say his eyes slowly close as the world around him fades. A lone figure with wings of an eagle desends from up high and picks up the lifeless body of Kotare. It carries him down the golden path and fades away leaving only the footsteps of an angel in the sand.

He knows what he must do. he must follow the sun to the west at all cost.
He places his most tresured trinkets in a bag and writes a book to the one who has always ment something to him. He carries them to Anna and says little other than goodbye. He digs his spurs deep into his nightmare and races towards the west.

Anna, looking into the pages of the book, she discoveres that he has found the place he wishes to be and where he is going, he does not intend to come back. She knows, that the journey will claim his life and she weeps. just as Kotare has done all these many years in her absence. She now knows what he has been through and the guilt eats away at her emotions. "find peace Kotare." she says... Many days later, a bright flash can be seen from the west as it assends into the heavens.
