So it had come again. The faith of the Flame and the balance of the world had been errected into a most fantastic structure indeed. Drayden looked up at the three story tall Cathedral. It had been some years since he had overseen the building of "The Tower", which was the pinnacle of the Order of the Flame.

That organization was no more however. From those flames and embers "The Order" arose. Far more militant. Far more dedicated and far more willing to work for the balance of all, regardless of cost.

The workers were moving the large stones into place on the top floor, setting up the walls and roof. Drayden took this moment to walk the perimeter, pulling the folds of his white cloak about him to dull the cool that had seeped into this part of northern Britannia. So much was going on. It was hard for the dark elf to wrap his already busy mind around it.

Two days ago there was a meeting to appoint nominees, so that new leadership could be decided. Such things happen during the life of a government. Drayden shrugged at that thought. Governments were merely ways for those who thought themselves better than the others to take charge. Wether for their own personal reasons or even sometimes, for the betterment of... humanity.

Drayden fully doubted that this was the case in the regarding the Regency. He had always questioned it. This never caused him any ill will towards them however. He easily did what any other religious group would do.

Ignore them.

Thats what they have done to my Order for some time now.

He was finishing his round of the Cathedral. The sun was setting. It seemed to grow colder.

Drayden was no fan of civil war, that much he knew. But he also knew that the numbers that were present at the Castle not two nights ago could not be ignored. The people wanted change, thus the scale must shift, and so must Drayden and The Order.

Moving his hand slowly he vanished from site. Carried to the city of Britain. Which is where he had been staying since this all started. The time would come to choose a side.

Porthos, you fool. You blatantly avoid my questioning. You Describe the mass of people as "mere rabble". I wonder if you treat those that hold you in high regard in such ways. You have much to learn my young friend. Drayden was shocked still at the Regency's reaction to the whole issue. The idea of "ignore it and it will go away" has never worked in these cases.

He had originally gone to their meeting hall to offer his mediation services to the Regency. As well as going to the Castle to offer his assistance to the "rebels". Though the Regency would barely listen to him. More concerned with his own motives than with the current situation at hand. Drayden recalled several instances where Porthos had asked him, "What do you think we should do?" Why did it matter what he thought? Apparently he didn't care about what anyone else thought with rebellion stirring. I think a Regent should make decisions, not blubber and whine like a child.

His own plans would continue. He would foster balance int this world. Despite the fact he may be labelled a traitor by the loyalists.

He would meet with those nominees that were picked, and he would make sure that this reformation went smoothly. He would do what The Order was supposed to. Which was bring order to chaos. This was obviously a chaotic sitiuation.

Did that mean he was taking side?

Not at all.

Not yet at least.
