**((Be aware that everything is this story is occurring inside Spawn’s mind. None of this is currently occurring in the game itself))**

Spawn walked slowly down the streets of Sanctus which was completely deprived of any visible signs of life. It seemed like a ghost town as he glanced at the buildings around him. The skies became dark as a storm began to form overhead with droplets of rain coming down on top of Spawn. Low rumbles of thunder were heard as he stopped in front of the Castle Blackgard. His hazel eyes narrowed as he gazed upon the structure of the castle.

How do I get out of here?” Spawn said to himself. He sat upon the stone steps somewhat baffled about what was happening around him. His hands rested on the steps next to him as they began to soak with blood. “What is this!?!” said Spawn looking at the blood on his hand then on the stone steps of Blackgard.

Having fun Spawn?” said a voice coming from behind Spawn. He quickly turned around only to see himself. This double looked exactly like Spawn with the same facial features, armor and voice but had eyes as red as blood.

How long do you intend to keep me here?” Spawn asked. Quickly unsheathing his bokuto, he pointed it at the double. The other Spawn put on an evil smirk as he began to disappear from sight.

As long as I need” said a voice echoing around Spawn. He looked slowly around trying to see if he could find where the voice was coming from. A sinister laugh echoed around Spawn as several bolts of lightning lit up the sky.

You have done enough Oggaroth. Let me go back and leave my body at once!” Spawn shouted. Suddenly, the demon god Oggaroth in the form of Spawn appeared on one of the outside balconies.

You are no position to order me fool!” said Oggaroth giving Spawn a cold gaze. “You shall remain here forever!” The demon god said beginning to laugh hysterically. Spawn then ran down the streets towards the caves. Suddenly, he found himself in the city of Rivendell and no longer in Sanctus. He glanced at the Hungry Halfling Tavern which he was in front of. “Come now Spawn you should realize at this point that you are not going to defeat me.” Oggaroth said reappearing on the steps of the tavern still in form of Spawn.

Clever trick to make all this” Spawn said pacing back and forth. The demon god laughed briefly gazing upon him.

This is not only magic but your mere memories I used to make a world just for you as I spread chaos and destruction in the real world” said Oggaroth. Spawn watched as the demon god ran his hands down on the walls of the tavern. “So I suggest you make yourself at home dear Sheriff of Britannia” Oggaroth said as he began to disappear from sight. Spawn walked into the Hungry Halfling looking around the inside which was empty and quiet with not a single sign of life.

I think not demon. I think I’m going to find a way out of here and stop your hold on me” Spawn said. He then found himself in the Regency’s meeting hall in Serpent’s Hold. The demon appeared again this time sitting in one of the seats in a relaxed position with his feet on the table and his hands supporting his head like a pillow.

Oh come now Spawn. I can make this quite pleasant for you.” Oggaroth said pointing to the other end of the table where two beautiful women and numerous stacks of gold coin appeared. Spawn shook his head walking around the table with his eyes locked on the demon god.

How is gold good to me when I have use for it here? And how is lust good for me when I love my wife and her alone?” asked Spawn. The demon god waved his hand making the women and gold disappear. “For a god, you are not very wise or intelligent” he continued. Spawn stopped walking now directly in front of the demon across the table.

Am I now? One thing I am and you shall never be is powerful!” Oggaroth said waving his hands. Suddenly, the demon god disappeared and corpses appeared at the seats of the table. Spawn glanced at the corpses briefly only to see that they were people that he knew: Molly, Talon, Porthos, and his other friends.

No! This isn’t real! This is an illusion!” Spawn said unsheathing his bokuto.

How do you know it’s not? Maybe I killed them all and you don’t realize it” said Oggaroth as he reappeared behind Spawn. The demon god waved his hand and the two were now back in Sanctus. “I haven’t killed them yet but unfortunately, I have to as well as your wife for she is the avatar of Concordia and poses a threat to me” said Oggaroth.

You better not touch her you coward!” Spawn shouted raising his hand in front of him. “Corp Por!” chanted Spawn launching an energy bolt towards the demon god. Oggaroth caught the bolt with his hand sending it back at Spawn. The energy bolt slammed against Spawn knocking him to the ground. Oggaroth raised his hand again which lifted Spawn off the ground.

Fool! You are no match against me!” Oggaroth said as he waved his hand violently sending Spawn into the wall of the Hanse’s Hostel. Spawn’s body slammed against the wall then onto the ground. The demon began to laugh sinisterly watching Spawn slowly stand to his feet.

We shall see!” Spawn said running at the demon god with his bokuto. Oggaroth still in the form of Spawn unsheathed his bokuto. Spawn delivered strikes with his bokuto only to be blocked by Oggaroth’s weapon. The two continued to fight on the streets of Sanctus as the rain began to come down heavy on them. Spawn and Oggaroth locked their weapons together giving each other a cold stare.

You are strong Spawn! This is why I chose you to be my avatar!” Oggaroth said.

Not anymore!” Spawn shouted delivering a blow to Oggaroth. The bokuto slammed against the shoulder of the demon god.

Ah!” Oggaroth shouted holding his shoulder. “You shall pay for that!” The demon said raising his hand in front of him. “Now feel the full power of Oggaroth!” yelled Oggaroth as he hurled a massive bolt of electricity at Spawn. The bolt knocked Spawn’s bokuto out of his hand. The demon god then disappeared from sight leaving Spawn on the streets alone. Suddenly, Oggaroth appeared next to Spawn sent a fist towards him. Spawn was knocked back on the ground being hit by the fist rolling a few times before laying motionless on the street.

You must be able to see it, Spawn. You must know it by now. You can't win. It's pointless to keep fighting for I’m too powerful for you” Oggaroth said now standing over the motionless Spawn. The demon god began to laugh sinisterly as he walked away from Spawn disappearing from sight. Spawn stared into the sky feeling the rain hit his face.

Tika… Help me” Spawn said as he began to fall out of conscious. The evil laugh of Oggaroth echoed around the unconscious Spawn and the empty city of Sanctus
