The last tournament we held in Sanctus was a great success. This time, we will be stepping it up a notch.

What: The Sosarian Invitational

When: Sunday, August 12 @ 6 PM EST.

Where: Sanctus Felucca Arena. (Private home. Doing it there for easy of administration and so no one has to leave their guild.

Who: Exclusive to members of ARPC only.

Why: To promote the ARPC and encourage community interaction.

Scheduled Events:

Jousting Tournament
Single Combat Tournament
Mass Melee
Beastmaster Tournament (Tamer Tournament)

General Rules:

1. All policies and procedures of the ARPC ruleset are in effect.
2. No looting whatsoever
3. No murder counts are to be given. Failure to comply will result in being banned from the arena.
4. There are no limitations on equipment. Bring everything you have to the field of battle.
5. No limitations on healing or poisons except in cases of sudden death.
6. Failure to appear in the arena after two attempts to summon will result in a forfeit.
7. Single elmination tournament. Uneven brackets will result in the winner and top finishers of the last tournament receiving a bypass the first round.

Joust Rules:

1. Best two out of three dismounts for the win.
2. Ties will result in the match continuing until a winner is decided.
3. Leaving the arena or purposefully evading the correct charging path is grounds for disqualification.
4. If both combatants are dismounted during a tilt, neither receives a point.

Single Combat Tournament

1. No holds barred.
2. We will avoid sudden death if possible. If we are pressed for time, early matches will be limited to 10 minutes. When sudden death is called, both combatants will heal to full and then fight without heals until a winner is decided.
3. No leaving the arena.
4. No pets or summons.

Beastmaster Tournament (Tamers):
1. No holds barred.
2. Same sudden death rules as the Single Combat Tournament. Pets will also be allowed to heal to full in case of sudden death.
3. Last person or beast standing wins for their team.

Mass Melee:

1. No invisibility, hiding, or stealth.
2. No pets or summons.
3. Last man standing wins.

If you would like to sign up for the tournament, please state your name, guild, and the events you would like to participate in with a reply to this post.

Last minute signups will be permitted if there are a lack of participants.

Please keep in mind: This is not just for lightbringers. It is for everyone who affilitates themselves with the ARPC.

This is IC event correct?

Under the table gambling is forbidden, aye?

It is an IC event, but all can participate, regardless of affiliation.

There are no gamblings restrictions in Sanctus. Bet all you want.

Make sure the house is safe from greifers, if you plan to promote the ARPC, I assume you've taken into account that there will be reds.

With that said, can't wait, wish there was a mage portion to defend my title, but I can enter on another char Wink

The arena will be held in my house. It is reasonably quiet and isolated. There is not much traffic of reds or any others in the area. There is no bad spawn in the area. I will be on hand to grant access to all involved as well as revoking if needed. If any gm wishes reassuance, I will be happy to show them the location and tour of the area. My icq is 84982692.
