Now that I'm slowly returning to UO (Getting bored with WOW) I wonder if there are any "hotspots" for roleplayer in the game.

As I can just play 3 days in a week, I can't spent too much time just looking around. But mostly I do that, but end up finding noone to roleplay with.
Adding to that, I'm actually shy and usually just start conversations with people I know In Character. So if you see a Sir Robert [KOS] lurking around, it's just me, being shy.

Any help in getting back into the main fray would be appreciated.

The RCL meetings are at 8 and the Alliance (The Consensus of Light) meetings are at 9, both in the same building just outside Luna. They are on Thursdays. If you want a gate just icq me and I will see you get there.

Unless you go to a different building than the one I know I should find ye. After all, while Sir Robert was still a drunkard he was the "Moral Officer" of the RCL. *hic*

Errr, well, Hotspots aren't exactly meetings. Granted, there's RP... but... you can't just walk in and start talking. People kinda get mad. And meetings are usually boring.

As for ACTUAL hotspots, Rob, Zento bank is usually kicking with RPers around there. Aside from the griefers who come around from time to time, of which I've lost a lot of respect for, it's probably the best place to go for RP.

Especially now, since they have (or just had?) a huge plot running there. The annual monsoon.

I think there's a few other plots about to kick off there, too. As for what they are, I have no idea, as there's a lot going on. But if you go there, I'm sure you can just jump right in. They are pretty welcoming.

And if that doesn't satisfy your RP craving, install NWN Wink

Meetings are at least a beginning. At the moment I'm mostly interested in people recognizing the name Sir Robert and people getting used to that name being around and the occasional "Wark" from the hat.
I will hop on by Zento on my normal rounds and hang around when I see people roleplaying there.

And while I have NWN installed (the 1st one, the 2nd one broke my graphic card (after installing NWN2 my PC started to freeze, even a new system (new motherboard and CPU and complete reinstallation) did nothing, so I don't like it anymore.))) I tried that one persistent world, but could never get into it. Maybe later again.

I am simply no longer used to roleplay with others, so I have to get back into that. And with UO there are at least some oldies that might recognize me.

Sorry to hear about your NWN2 catastrophe. But if you do decide to give NWN1 a shot, let us know. While we restructure our NWN2 server, because it's a new game and multiplayer was full of bugs, we're taking our time to roleplay on an old NWN server Arleah.

Yeah... Zento is really happening right now with the Monsoon plot. If you were around last year... there were babies concieved, marriages annulled, a kitsune flung against a wall... It should be interesting this year as well!! Plus there are tons of pirates running around!! A dodo will be most welcome there!! There is also the Regency Meeting on Tuesdays ( I think 9, but don't quote me on it Razz

) but if you are like me, meetings are not fun IRL so I don't really care for them IG either, but now with the Oggoroth plot in full swing, even meetings are becoming more interesting. There are a couple of other things in the works, both plot wise and just fun wise, some hunt nights, some net tosses, etc. I will make sure I ICQ you when they are happening! Very Happy
