The warm sun had called to Willow. She sat atop her bed in her disheveled room trying her hardest to study and not look out her window. She had fallen somewhat behind as of late. Who knew having parents could be so distracting. And parents such as Willow’s it was a wonder she managed to keep her studies up as long as she had. Still the sun almost taunted her. She decided to leave her house and visit Umbra and possibly have a duel or two.
Willow loved nothing more than stomping on freshly sprouted flowers whilst she fought. Also the sound of the weapons striking each other was exhilarating to her. Better yet was the sound of a scream when the weapons hit their intended mark.
With that she cast her books aside and searched for a katana. Willow knew that most of her katanas were at the Smith getting repaired. She didn’t take the news of her new found parents well. And making windows from solid walls tends to dull any weapon. Still she looked high and low to no avail. Tossing piles of clothing that had lain upon her floor moments ago hoping to find just one katana. She looked under her bed and her closet but no weapon in sight. She sighed and slumped on to her bed. Sulkily taking up her studies again.
Then before she could crack her first book open again she thought
Nightshade fights with steel like I do, I wonder if she has a weapon I could....borrow. Jumping off her bed she headed for Nightshade’s room. She wasn’t home yet, but Willow was sure that she wouldn’t mind if she just took one. Besides it was just until she got her swords back, she needed something to practice with anyhow. She walked down the dark halls of her house to Shade’s bedroom door. Willow burst right in uncaring that she was being rude or inconsiderate. She didn’t particularly care that she was violating not only Shade’s privacy, but her trust as well.
Willow began to rummage though Nightshade’s personal belongings looking for any form of steel she could find. She had a hard time walking though the room, however, Nightshade was no neater than Willow was with her own room. Twice Willow had slipped upon a stray piece of clothing. As she looked around she thought, Nightshade has the nerve to complain about my chambers? At least I put things into piles. Just one of many differences between her and Shade that were becoming ever apparent. Then she spotted it, on sitting on top of a vanity. Glistening as if just newly polished.. Tromping though the clothes and other debris on the floor Willow made her way toward it. She stopped just in front of the weapon. Glancing straight ahead she looked into the mirror on the vanity.
Her green hair spilled on to her shoulders, it was a rare occasion to see such. Willow had a bit of a revelation, So I am Willow, not a younger echo of Nightshade, but a person all your own. But, who is that person? Who or what am I now? Five years had passed since Nightshade gave Willow form with her and Toren’s bonded blood, yet in appearance nothing had changed.
Willow sighed and looked at the weapon before her. Hmm, this is a little different. She thought as she picked it up. Oh yes I remember, she fights with a kryss. She held the flat of it in front of her face to see the engraving, TOYMAKER while she traced the curved edges with her hand. Who names their weapons? She didn’t use this to make her dolls did she? Then to test it she made a cris cross motion with the kryss in front of her. It flows differently but I will get used to it. She sheathed it and walked out of the room, considerate enough to close the door behind her.
“Willow, are you here?” Nightshade’s voice rang though the house.
“Yes I am here,” Willow said as she walked to the front to meet Nightshade, careful to place her hand on the TOYMAKER’s hilt to hide it from Shade’s view.
“Where are you going?” Nightshade asked as she put her hands on her hips.
“To practice” Willow said and mirrored her by puttering her own hands on her hips.
“Alright, well then I will go with you and who knows, you may be good enough to beat me” Nightshade said with an impish grin.
“Fine” Willow Muttered as they both walked out the door.

Shade watched as the two fighters dueled, her eyes resting on Myrddin, his movements so precise, incredibly practiced. On the other hand Willow was vicious the onslaught of her steel reigning down, but her timing was just a bit off. Even Shade had not mastered such timing as Myrddin and she smiled knowing Willow would be trained by an excellent fighter.

The heart of the battle, flowed around Myrddin as he swung his blade, at last smashing it from Willows hand, and knocking her to the ground. Oddly, her weapon shattered, shards of it falling to the ground.

Shades eyes detected engraving on the hilt of the blade and she took a step closer a worry growing up inside her. Her kryss was missing...and here was a weapon engraved broken on the ground. It didnt take her long to make out the word TOY on one of the peices. She heard growling from Myrddin and Willow exclaiming loudly OH NO! NO NO NO NO!

Shade could not control herself, her hair went black, her eyes lost all pigment and the fury of the Wraith was upon Willow. Spells flew thru the air mercilessly hitting the helpless child. Shade, with warfork aimed in deadly intent, advanced upon her own daughter. Her rage was complete, Willow or she would be badly injured, of only that there was certainty. Willow didnt see it coming, blood splattering from her arms as the Warfork caught her. Just as it raised again to rain down on her head it was stopped midair.

Toren stood in protecitve stance, between his daughter and Shade and turning quickly the handle of his sword out, knocking the furious woman unconcious. The wraith spell ended and Shade lay at their feet, crumpled and broken next to her shattered kryss on the ground.

Within seconds a loud growl filled the air and Myrddin had leapt upon Toren his blade aimed and knocking them both to the ground. Willow was lost, begging and pleading with them to stop.

Only the sound of the wounded nightshade rolling over and vomiting large quantities of blood upon the ground garnered attention. She was terribly sick and pale. Concern and surprise at a sick Nightshade driving both men to a halt.

She rose unsteadily and moved to the step of the house behind her sitting pale and trembling. She wrapped her arms protectively around herself, grimacing from the pain wracking her body.

The only thought holding her, strongly, worriedly was how she had tried with all her might to destroy, her own child...
