Fighting around some shrines, btw, will get you those new skill gain deeds. But be careful of Valorite and Verite elementals, or say goodbye to your equipment!

Skill gain deeds will accelerate your gains for 15 minutes when you use them. They are per skill. Stratics has more info

Ah, more emulating other games eventual item loss for more addictive properties in UO, along with more pixelcrack. But if they are allowing accelerated skill gain, they have finally realised that making people work skills longer is NOT fun, and that is at least an understanding that UO is about endgame, especially after 10 years of being able to reach endgame (which takes about a week). A step in the right direction.
