Ditto Armunn

First, Yep, we are serious. It was a tiny idea over the years then today Cat & I just kept talking & talking & then said, Lets do it! It'll be fun!

Second, we are asking & poking & asking for any and all who might be remotely interested to help out & teach classes. All it takes is the first step of making an IC reply on the Tavern board or an OOC one in the PM here. And I stress this next point, as Cat brought up the question to me: ALL are welcome. I repeat, ALL are welcome.

The basic idea is just to entertain ourselves and others by using Cat's rooftop as a school room. We are hoping we'll be so crowded that we'll have to expand the school, yet are prepared for it being me and Cat talking to ourselves and a cpl of NPCs. We imagined field trips sometimes, (kinda like hunts but more of a rp thing than a pvm thing).

I also wanted to include a Role-playing class option for any that might be interested. At first, we'll play things by ear & see what works and what doesn't. Anyone going on a field trip, please be aware that it could be dangerous & come dressed (or undressed) for it. Students would be responcible for their own stuff getting lost, stolen, etc. Also, fieldtrips could make for wonderful rp trouble for those interested in causing some, like kidnapping the students or trying to eat them or what have you.
The school is NOT a guild. It's just a few ppl getting together to rp some fun & maybe learn a few things that you didn't know before.

We (Cat & I) dont have all the answers to all questions about it, I'm sure, but what we don't know, we'll make up along the way, (just like our rp). Hehe.

Will you have a class for the proper way to be kidnapped without getting the entire community agrivated with the number of times you have been kidnapped? I would like to sign up for that one. Or I could teach proper victim ediquette. *grins*

silly me, I saw the actualy IC post before I checked in here. I'd love to teach an elven class, maybe a field trip to Magencia? haha I mean Heartwood.

Hehe, getting more replies than I thought.

Okidoki, where to start...This Friday, (tomorrow) at 8pm est is when the first class is to begin, so I'll have Ditto casting gates from Hanse from about 7:30. Also, I'll try to be ingame earlier to give out runes to the School to ppl that want them.
I've been telling people 3-4 classes a night. And I think we'll try to do this every Friday (or most Fridays) depending on whats going on w/ rl &/or other characters.

So far there are more people interested in teaching than I thought. And I'm very scatter-brained, so I'll write up a list of names of those who'd like to teach a class and you guys just reply if I get something wrong, or if I've forgotten anyone, Or, if anyone else wants to teach a class sometime. I think this Friday's sched. is full though.

Right now we have a single classroom on Cat's rooftop, which ummm, hehe, Cat, we need another room so can you add a wall splitting it in half? Hehe. If the response stays this popular or gets more popular, we'll have to seek the lands for possibly an NPC building to hold classes or I'll have to get another account for a house devoted just to the School.

FOR THE TEACHERS/INSTRUCTORS:

-Fridays @ 8pm est. classes begin.
-Plan each class to last 30-45 minutes. (most events run later than planned).
-Contact myself or Cat for a rune to the School (if you dont pick up one tomorrow) I'll make my icq # public to these forums so that I can be contacted ingame if need be. IC letters work great too especially if you want potential students to know more about what your going to teach.
-In the future, please PM your class decsription so that I can copy/paste it to the weekly School announcement. Also include any fieldtrip info if you plan on having one. (I dont expect one for this Fri, cause it's such short notice.).
-Your class can be a regular(reoccuring or developing) class, OR it can be in the form of a one time thing, like a guess speaker. All will be treated the same. However if you want to do a reoccuring class & be more of a full time teacher, just let us know & we'll be happy to accomodate you & your ideas.
- Feel free to do your own advertising or handing out runes. It's encouraged.

TO THE PUPLIC:
-All students welcome! Either as individuals or as a guild thing, or a group thing. All races too, all factions, all guilds. Any/everyone.

-PLEASE ROLEPLAY. We will treat non-roleplayers with tolerance up to a point. Mistakes are fine. Purposeful OCC chatter will be more than frowned upon, & you might find yourself under the sign if I see a problem. (Cat is too sweet sometimes to toss ppl, but I'm meaner & will toss out OOC troublemakers.) RP troublemakers are a little different however, and will be handled accordingly. If you or a few guildmates would like a special RP class then we can try to arrange such.

-Runes and Gates will be provided at Hanse tomorrow evening. I will also try to arrange rune droppings around bank areas from time to time. Or you can contact either myself or Cat.

-Classes start at 8pm est, Fridays and are Free to all.

-A notebook on your desk will be provided for taking notes & will have Anyone access. If you wish to keep it, just let us know so that we can unlock it for you.

-Guild leaders, if you wish specialty classes (such as role-play for new recruits) for your guildmates, or for the public, feel free to contact one of us & we'll try our best to accomodate you. Just pm or icq with your needs and ideas.

I'd like to teach a "Falsity of Virtue" Class, or perhaps Sosarian History 101.

Both are of course, slanted to Ceinwyn's perspective. No apples for teach, only cheesecake.
