Title: The Blue Codex

Author: Galistad

I speak of now of the guild I am from called "The Blue Codex". The founder of the guild was one by the name of Manrel who awoke one morning to discover a blue codex had appeared upon his forehead. He believed that this was a gift of power and that he was now of up most importance. Manrel created the guild with I as his right hand follower. Together we gathered those who were loyal to the dealings with the Codex. Through my research and from various tales and rumors I heard, I later understood that the Codex was not built by the human race. To my dismay I brought forth great blasphemy upon the guild. All members of The Blue Codex bore a tattoo upon their forehead similar to the one on Manrel.

My punishment was to be sacrificed to the good of the Codex by first having the skin removed of where my tattoo rested. Next my head was to be cut open exposing my brains and my guts pulled from my lowers. In their attempt to remove the tattoo I fled only receiving a deep wound over my right eye.

The wound is a scar of my cowardice and my disloyalty to the guild. I fled to Yew where as I met a woman by the name of Natasha. She dealt in the arts of witchery in which I found my self quite interested in. Our love brought forth a child of whom we named Yosh. I departed from Yew and sought justice on Manrel for I continued to have haunting dreams of the guild. At night I came to where the guild camped and slew Manrel. With Manrel dead the guild could find no worthy leader for it was believed that Manrel was gifted. I later discovered in his journal that he received the tattoo while drinking heavily at a tavern in Buccaneers den. I am glad he is dead.

Now turn we back to Yew of where I pledge the falsehood of the Codex. For I still belived that the Codex was not created by the humans but by daemons. And any and all who believed in the Codex was false. And many a druid did not trust me but that of two, being those called Crensha and Zaio.

And it so happened that much of the word began to spread about the Codex but many tried to hide all information of it. And so it came to pass that as I returned home one evening I found Natasha attempting to put a spell on me for she did love the codex. And so I turned to Crensha who held a higher power in the druidic order and Natasha was burned for her evil witchery.

Because of my hatred for the betraying woman I did hate our child Yosh. For I knew Yosh would one day desire to follow the footsteps of her mother as it seemed all female children of witches do. And so I took from Yosh a necklace in which her mother had given her and beat her severally.

And as it was, Yosh did not remember much of the events that happened. Oh even that she watched her own mother burn she did not remember of what occurred. And so when one day she spake to me of her missing necklace I told her some other children were making fun of her and one stole it from her. And to keep my word true I spoke to the other children speaking unto them that Yosh was too a witch just like her evil mother. And so it was that Yosh left and I did nay hear from her again. And so it was that a year had pass that I was comforted by the people of The Blue Codex. And was disturbed that the guild did still exist.

And because I was a close follower to Manrel they desired that I be their leader forgetting my betrayal to the guild. And so I built lies within the guild and spoke untruths about the codex that these people would preach falsely to others. And thus was my plan and it did go well for many came to not even understand what the Codex was or even it's meaning. Yea even many even came to never even hear of the codex. And upon the passing of years I came upon the place of where my Natasha was slay in fire. And there I spat upon the ground and was over come with a vison.

And I did begin to dig into the ground and there I dug for many a day. And upon the seventh day I did uncover a metal box. And from within the box I found a book bound in leathery skins. And the book spoke unto me and bade me not to touch it and that great powers I would receive from it if I swore unto it that I would be it's servant. And so I swore and became the servant to the book. And with the guidance of my authority and the words of the great book The Blue Codex began to prosper greatly. And of my most trusted was Crensha and Zaio.

And many years did pass and Zaio left Yew to train at with the mages. And thereafter his departure did I learn of his wrongful ways against the druids of the abbey. And all his books were burned and the druids spoke wrongful of The Blue Codex. Yea that they did burn all books which spoke of it's dealings. And Crensha was forced to leave the druid order and became a healer aiding those who were with child.

And The Blue Codex fell into a darkened period and began to shatter and spread. And those who were most loyal would nay admit to ever being part of the guild. And so I turned to the book for guidance and begged that it would aid me. And it spake unto me that I should slay all those who were a member or still are a member for the guild was now hated. And I was disturbed with the book but did as it was told. And many members of the guild fell to my hand with the aid of the books power. And there be only a few left whom I still must slay and among those being that of Zaio and Crensha.

And while I planned to slay Crensha I beheld a woman who I felt strong desire for. And I begged the book that it should rid me of the feelings for none shall affect me be that of my departed woman, Natasha. And the book commanded me that I take to me this woman be it but one night and against her will. And of that would I be rid of all other feelings for her.

And so I did as the book spoke of and took this woman and my punishment was that the woman became with child from my sins.

And so turned I to Crensha and asked that he destroy all sins that were created from my night of desire. And Crensha spoke loyalty unto me and of the loyalty of The Blue Codex that he would do as I asked. And so when the woman did give birth the child was taken. And after time I trusted that the child was destroyed but I had been betrayed by Crensha and the child had been given to a man named Darimar.
