Title: Obeyance Sermon

Author: Jaggerauth

Sermon given by Dealthager. Transcribed by Jaggerauth.

Obeyance. To know one's place. Obeyance is what keeps the Order in the Chaos. It keeps the centre from flying apart as the gear grinds ever forward to the Grand Convergence. We all have our place. Thralls serve the Order. The Order serves the Ancients. The Ancients serve the Vardox xa Desete'sildena, and he Serves Oblivion. We are all cogs in the grand machine. Pieces of the whole. Parts of the unmaking.

We serve as it is all our place to do as we must to bring the end. To shirk our responsibilities is to invite weakness into our midst. To fail your masters is a sin most grave. To fail the Order will bring you punishment worthy of your sin. Failing to act is a waste of the gifts Oblivion has given you. The greater your gifts, the greater sin for failing to serve.

Serve well, and those above you can elevate you, rewarding you for your deeds. Service in mind, in action, in your soul will lead to the Truth. Fail to serve, and your damnation will be tenfold. Obeyance. Know your place. Keep your place. It is the will of Oblivion.
