Introduction to the Extinct Races of the Lands

Britannia, and before that, Sosaria, for that was the world long before the shattering of the Gem of Immortality, was home to a large number of beings which no longer inhabit the world today, or if they do, their presence remains mysterious to us.

Many of these races, creatures, and species have perished or mysteriously disappeared over the shaping of the world into the state that it is in today, and their existence is only known due to the diligence of scholars, historians, and anthropologists.

Unfortunately much of what can be said about some of these races comes from a point of speculation, as nobody alive today can say for sure what these peoples and creatures were like.

So pay special heed when reading about these subjects, for their histories can be brought into question. A simple historical inaccuracy down the line of ages triplicates its inaccuracies into these days. In essence, everything must be taken with a grain of salt and a healthy dose of contextualization.
