Ce'Nedra Willow: I'd like to thankyou all for coming tonite and welcome you to the Candidate Speeches. We have four candidates for the Magistrate Elections. They are: Shadow Weaver, Moal Ceall, Salvor Hardin, and Jim Marrins.

Ce'Nedra Willow: Each candidate will be giving a short speech. After the speeches, I will hand out Election Ballot Books for you all to vote. The Books contain a URL for the online Ballot poll. The Poll will close at Sunday midnight.

Ce'Nedra Willow: One of our candidates was unable to make it this eve. He is having connection issues. I will be reading his speech on his behalf.

Ce'Nedra Willow: Without further ado... our first speaker will be Jim Marrins.

Jim Marrins: My Fellow Britannians, I Look out today at the faces of a people who care about the safty of its community. YOU are the people that the Magistrate is here for; to make our lives here safe from harassment and more enjoyable for us all. No one person, or even group of people, can do this alone, it takes the community as a whole. I just want you to know, that I am here for you first and a safer, more entertaining community, is my chief goal. Thank You.

Ce'Nedra Willow: Thankyou Jim.

Ce'Nedra Willow: Our second speaker of the evening will be Shadow Weaver.

Shadow Weaver: People of Sosaria, I came to this land from another world and saw at once the land was in peril! The guard posts outside of the cities are deserted. I have seen this myself. Murderers and looters rule the lands outside of our cities. Good people can not travel without fear of murder or worse. Even within our cities the guards lack strong leadership. I can not end the spell that Minax has cast, which has rendered the guards useless during an attack. I can, though, give them the ledership they will need to protect the citizens from thieves and cutthroats and to protect the citizens that may need to leave the city limits to root out and destroy the threat to our kingdom! Thank you!

Ce'Nedra Willow: Thankyou Shadow Weaver.

Ce'Nedra Willow: Our next speaker will be Salvor Hardin.

Salvor Hardin: I would first like to apologize for being late, I had some trouble in Minoc as some of you know. I would first like to address the issue of security in Britain. We have all heard that something should be done, but has anyone said what that something is? Those who know me, GFY, Dane, Falcon, know my plans; what I speak of is training. It's a simple matter of numbers and what we need now are people trained to deal with those who would oppose us. That is why I am setting up the Warriors of Britain. Whether or not I win this election I plan to establish a Warrior's training camp and through that we shall provide the protection needed. I see the problems as clear as my opponents, but I offer a solution, not just the obvious. Thank you ladies and gentlemen.

Ce'Nedra Willow: Thankyou Salvor.

Ce'Nedra Willow: As our final candidate was unable to attend I will now read his prepared speech on his behalf.

Ce'Nedra Willow for Moal Ceall: Fellow sons and daughters of Britain, I, Moal Ceall, come here today to offer you solutions to the burdens of this great city of Britain. As Magistrate I will implement my already thought out plans concerning the hierarchy of the guards. These innovations and many more will increase the efficiency and potentcy of Britain's justice system. I also plan to engross this city with the justice of the common man and his or her virtues. I have the key qualifications for the office of magistrate, those being time and talent. I have assisted in the construction and administration of 2 private shards. I am a former advocate of Asheron's Call. I have been in countless beta tests and I administered for a few of them. I have also advised and counseled a few guilds. That is the extent of my administrative capabilities. I have lots of time to carry out my duties. I am here (in this world) at least 2 hours a day. But most important, I have owned and played UO since the second week of its appearance, and in this long duration of observation, I have come to feel the pulse of Britannia and her people. Therefore, I am the best candidate for the position of Britain's Magistrate. So vote for Moal Ceall and bless you all. Thank you.

Ce'Nedra Willow: That was our fourth candidate's speech.

Ce'Nedra Willow: That concludes our speeches for this evening. I thank you all again for your attendance. I will be standing near the doors with Ballots. Please feel free to mingle and talk to the candidates here, asking any questions you may have of them or the Council members that were able to attend this eve.
