Title: Song of Honesty

Author: by Canto Canzione

More than it hides, a mask reveals, And more than it hushes, tells That it is not what it conceals, But how beneath, the Truth e'er dwells. For an unTruth is all but a shade, Half-seen, yet still half-not there, And to dwell forever in deceit Is to skulk in shadow and dispair. Yet in the end, the Truth will blaze: Naught escapes the light of day, And all will stop, and all will gaze When at last the mask will fall away. So hold thy face unto the sun -- The Honest one has naught to hide -- Nor regret such as thou hast done: Let Honesty e'er be thy guide.
