Opening of the Vortex

A ritual to be run when a member of the Order is granted a Sect leadership.

The place for the ritual is the infernal Temple of Daemons on the Avatar Isle.

The three highest ranking Members of the sect are to help channeling the power and energy from Entropy to the to-be Sect leader. The last sect leader will also be needed, to pass on the knowledge to the future leader.

All of the Sect are required to take part in witnessing the honor granted to the new leader, and to honor the leadership of the new leader, of course.

The ex-leader goes to stand behind the ankh that is located in the center of the Temple, the to-be leader goes to stand before the ankh and the three high ranking persons surround the to-be leader.

The three other persons slip to a trance early in the ritual, while the to-be leader keeps his speech and praises and thanks Oblivion for the glory and honor that he will be granted.

The new leader kneels before the bloody ankh. The three members who are in trance, awaken and channel their energy to bless the new leader.

The old leader begins to chant. The chanting grows louder and louder till the old leader screams "Ahm shu kroon du", a black vortex opens over the new leader and lifts him a meter off the ground. A small thunderstorm starts to swirl around the new leader and a hum emits from somewhere above.

Darkness gathers around the leader and closes him out of the sight.

A total silence decends upon the Temple for a while. Suddenly all the darkness fades with an unearthly shriek and the leader drops down on his knees facing the ankh of blood. He raises up, raw power crackling in the air around him. He yells a praise to Oblivion and all of the sect bow to him. The celebration can continue in Caina.
