Tara: So I shall begin.

Ce'Nedra Willow: I'd like to make a change.
Tara: The agenda for this evening....
Tara: Change guilds already, Lady? *Smiles*
Tara: Of course, please do.
Adin DarkMoor: perhaps the woman in green leather should introduce herself...

Ce'Nedra Willow: Just changing representation for this meeting.

Ce'Nedra Willow: But I will be here for the Britain City Council
Tara: *nods*
Tara: And the lady in green back there....

Tara: Is that everyone here then?
Tara: I trust this will not take so long in the future...
Tara: And there is Keale, for the Regency
Keale: I apologize...the elements were unkind.
Tara: Please be seated, m'lord.
Tara: Ok, the Agenda for this eve....
Tara: I wish to introduce one new rule that was published today.
Tara: I will then describe the positions on which the Assembly will vote.
Tara: We will then hear the names of people offering to step forward for those
Tara: positions.
Tara: If there are any questions, please feel free to raise your hand.
Tara: I am going to try to move this meeting along, so limit your questions.
Jazon: *raises hand*
Tara: We can also continue our discussions on the boards
Tara: Yes, Jazon?
Jazon: is that ok or should me go !!
Tara: Raising your hand as you did is fine.
Tara: The first item on the agenda will be the ratification of the rules as published.
Tara: I will assume that you have all read them, as you must have to come here.
Tara: Before I call a vote for ratifying these rules, are there any comments or
Tara: questions?
Dayn Elderan: *goes to reread rules*
Tara: *looks around*
Jazon: *opens rules in background*
Tara: None? Excellent.
Tara: Then I call a vote on the Assembly's ratification of the rules as I have set
Tara: forth.
Tara: All in favor?
Ce'Nedra Willow: Aye
Maryia Shadebane: Aye
Tara: (Say aye)

Isk: Aye.
Dayn Elderan: Aye.

Tara: Just making sure. I wouldn't want to misrecord your votes.
Tara: Very well, let the record show that the Assembly unanimously voted
Lionel: [Wonders why she was asleep]
Ce'Nedra Willow: (you said aye later when she asked about people opposed, hence her confusiong:0)
Tara: to ratify the rules as posted
Tara: Now, the new rule that I just posted, we will vote on that separately.
Tara: This rule states that one Representative for each guild.
Tara: For example, in the Order of the Ebon Skull, we have our initiation stone.
Tara: That does not count as a second guild....as it is wholly under the
Tara: jurisdiction of the OES.
Tara: We are part of the city of Caina.
Dryzzid: *raises his hand*
Tara: Caina has it's own members, among member guilds...
Tara: The mayor the head of the militia, etc, are unique memberships.
Dryzzid: *puts his hand down*
Tara: Therefore, since there are politics and members that we do not hold in common...
Tara: It is a separate entity.
Dayn Elderan: *raises hand*
Tara: And holds a Representative seat.
Tara: Yes, Dayn?
Dayn Elderan: I would like to suggest we also allow an alternate ambassador.
Dayn Elderan: In case one can not make it.
Maryia Shadebane: *raises a hand*
Lynne Darkthorne: *raises her hand*
Adin DarkMoor: I think that would be implies implicitly
Tara: I would suggest that each guild nominates a second, but I am unsure if all should
Tara: Whoever has the unreadable emote, please change it.
Tara: As I can't call on you.
Tara: *grins*
Maryia Shadebane: *raises hand*
Dayn Elderan: Well...just to make sure that someone does not misunderstand.
Tara: *nods*
Dayn Elderan: Done.
Tara: Good point, well made.
Tara: Maryia?
Maryia Shadebane: As an extension to Dayn's suggestion...
Dayn Elderan: *smiles*
Maryia Shadebane: I would recommend that two from each state be allowed in
Lynne Darkthorne: *nods in agreement*
Maryia Shadebane: One as the voting party, and one to take over if an emergency comes up

Lionel: *nods*
Dain Ironfoot: *nods*
Ce'Nedra Willow: *raise hand*

Lynne Darkthorne: well spoken.. for a Light bringer..
Maryia Shadebane: *laughs*
Maryia Shadebane: Don't hold it against me
Tara: Was that your suggestion as well, Lynne?
Lynne Darkthorne: Aye it was exactly
Tara: *nods*
Tara: Very well.
Tara: As the Ratified charter of the GA states, normally any changes
Tara: Should be submitted....blah blah blah...
Tara: *smiles*
Syrina: *giggles*
Tara: But since this is the first meeting, that's not really an option, eh?
Adin DarkMoor: *nods*
Jazon: *not even remotely*
Maryia Shadebane: *smiles slightly*
Lionel: *nods*
Tara: Ok, let's call a vote on this point now, but all future suggestions will have to
Tara: be left for the next meeting.
Cleome Arachnid: *smiles at Keale*
Ce'Nedra Willow: I'd like to speak first
Tara: Else we will be here until the next meeting.
Tara: Aye, Lady Willow?
Ce'Nedra Willow: If the attendance remains the size of what it is this evening.
Ce'Nedra Willow: Having two bodies here will not be an issue.
Ce'Nedra Willow: However if the attendance grows as it most likely will, more than half of the member
Ce'Nedra Willow: guilds are not present tonight.
Tara: *nods*
Ce'Nedra Willow: Then I don't think it is a good idea.
Ce'Nedra Willow: I do however..
Adin DarkMoor: *raises hand*
Ce'Nedra Willow: Have no problem with for example...
Ce'Nedra Willow: Maryia having to leave and asking Aleph to come in her place.
Jazon: Aye!: raises hand

Tara: Aye, this is also a good point.
Maryia Shadebane: Could I respond to this, since it is my idea up for debate?
Tara: Adin?
Adin DarkMoor: perhaps a proposal to have a attendance record on bulletin for attendees.
Maryia Shadebane: *pipes down*
Dayn Elderan: Aye, that was what my suggestion actually was. *smiles*
Tara: Maryia?
Adin DarkMoor: before a meeting is to be called to fruition
Lionel: Sometimes the elected member wont be able to make it though
Maryia Shadebane: If space becomes an issue, we could always put the alternate ambassadors...
Maryia Shadebane: In a separate area
Lionel: *nods*
Lynne Darkthorne: *raises a hand*
Maryia Shadebane: And install a communication crystal in there
Isk: *shifts in his seat.*
Tara: If the chosen ambassador cannot make it, anyone else from the guild may stand

Maryia Shadebane: That way they could keep up to date with the issues at the meeting
Tara: The question is how many bodies can we have in one place?
Maryia Shadebane: What if someone must leave the meeting early?
Tara: How many individuals will call out?
Tara: We have how many here this evening, and it has already happened here?
Jazon: *has a suggestion to solve problem*
Tara: At this size, it is not an issue.
Tara: Get close to a hundred here...and it is a problem.
Tara: Lynne?
Tara: (And if I miss your hand, or call out of turn, please forgive me)
Lynne Darkthorne: Ah..
Lynne Darkthorne: I wished to make a suggestion
Jazon: (already did...)
Tara: *nods*
Lynne Darkthorne: if due to numbers we are unable to have a second attendant.
Lynne Darkthorne: perhaps we propose an issue at the meeting
Lynne Darkthorne: hold it up to discussion..
Lynne Darkthorne: provide a final summary on a tome...
Lynne Darkthorne: and hold the vote on paper?
Lynne Darkthorne: It would delay resolving a vote perhaps..
Tara: And have two voting members per guild?
Lynne Darkthorne: but would solve the attendance problem
Cleome Arachnid: *raises hand*
Isk: *raises a hand.*
Lynne Darkthorne: ( well more like post a proposal on a mb.. then hold off a final tally of votes until
Jazon: *still has hand raised*
Lynne Darkthorne: the missing rep is able to post their vote)
Tara: That is an interesting idea, but I do believe it would slow down the ability of
Tara: this unit to accomplish things.
Dayn Elderan: *nods*
Adin DarkMoor: I agree
Jazon: *nods*
Tara: If we find that the current suggestion is unfeasible, however,
Tara: we can certainly revisit it.
Tara: Jazon?
Lynne Darkthorne: (perhaps reserve that option only for very close votes?)
Jazon: Ok as long as we can fit the number one rep for each guild in expanding
Jazon: should not be a problem for the following reasons
Jazon: 1) hold the 2nd. 3rd,s whatever in any number of other places linked with one way co
Tara: Let the record show that Drake has replaced Azalin in representing the OES
Dayn Elderan: *raises hand*
Jazon: 2) allow the 1st rep to party the 2nd or 3rd and duisuccuss with them the vote
Cleome Arachnid: *raises hand*
Annunzio: *makes note*
Jazon: 3) of the 1st rep must leave the 2nd immediately knows and can emidetly recall in with
Cleome Arachnid: *raises hand*
Jazon: now I'm done

Jazon: err with no delay was that last part
Tara: I believe all of that can be accomplished with either party chats, or IRC
Jazon: done.
Tara: And a request for a replacement can easily be handled the same way.
Cleome Arachnid: *raises hand*
Tara: The Order may have plenty of chairs for a number of people
Jazon: that's what I basically said but in a structured way...
Tara: But we cannot expect that everyone here will have the same resources.
Tara: I would rather not insist that everyone has to create two houses for hordes of
Tara: seconds, thirds, etc.
Tara: Cleome?
Maryia Shadebane: *raises hand*
Cleome Arachnid: I say you just assign an alternate
Cleome Arachnid: and make your alternate keep up on the notes
Cleome Arachnid: incase they have to take your place

Tara: That is our intention normally.
Cleome Arachnid: and allow a little debate prior

Tara: This meeting is a bit of an aberration.
Cleome Arachnid: then vote on the issues

Jazon: *raises hand wishing to clarify something he said quickly*
Tara: *nods at Cleome*

Anna: *raises hand*
Tara: We will try it for the next meeting

Tara: Isk, then, speak please.
Isk: Having two voters is the same as having one. Arrival arrangements should be
Isk: made beforehand.. having two members arrive is not good, im my opinion.

Maryia Shadebane: Perhaps we should just vote, Lady Speaker
Tara: Dayn?
Dayn Elderan: Hrm...
Lynne Darkthorne: *nods as if listening to someone*
Dayn Elderan: Did ye wish to continue with that issue?

Jazon: *still has hand raise*
Isk: Let us move to something else.
Dayn Elderan: Well I did not notice this in the rules, so I would suggest it.
Lynne Darkthorne: The Lady Anna regrets leaving but was summoned to a previous commitment
Dayn Elderan: When a vote is held, and there is a tie, the Speaker can break the tie.
Maryia Shadebane: In the interest of time, I rescind my motion
Dayn Elderan: The Speaker does not vote otherwise.
Dayn Elderan: Done.
Maryia Shadebane: This could be further covered in better forums
Tara: That does not pertain to the previous discussion?
Dayn Elderan: Well...in some ways...but just meaning as overall things.
Tara: Very well, we will shelve this topic, and discuss it on the boards. T
ara: We will vote on it next week.

Tara: Jazon, please clarify your point, however.
Tara: So that we may take that into consideration.

Tara: As we progress...
Tara: *please* refrain from speaking or commenting unless you raise your hand

Now, next on the agenda...
Tara: The positions of the Great Assembly
Tara: Although I know you have all read these, I will outline them briefly.
Tara: We will then hear from anyone wishing to announce their candidacy for
Tara: Speaker or Chairman.
Tara: The duties of the Speaker are as follows:
Tara: Schedule discussions for meetings
Tara: Create and maintain active interest teams
Tara: Mediate arbitrations
Tara: (That last one might be dropped, if this appears to be too much work)
Jazon: *cough insane person cough*
Tara: To facilitate this, it is expected that the Speaker will use email and
Tara: web pages to receive suggestions for the next meeting.
Tara: (And this is VERY ooc, I know, sorry, no help for it)
Tara: The Speaker must contact arbiters to schedule them for arbitration
Edna Rose: *raises hand*
Tara: The term of service is either six months, or....which I think is a bit much, one
Tara: year.
Tara: (Real life time.)
Tara: Edna?
Edna Rose: Milady are you open
Edna Rose: for this position?
Tara: Open?
Tara: *laughs*
Tara: I am currently the Speaker.
Edna Rose: You do very well.
Tara: I will step down when a suitable replacement has the vote of the Assembly.
Tara: But I thank you for your confidence.
Tara: Perhaps most daunting, the Speaker must....well...speak.
Tara: Here, at these meetings, you will do whatever it is that I am doing.
Tara: And I cannot stress enough how essential it is to maintain order.
Jazon: *shudder*
Tara: Or these meetings will literally drag for *hours*
Tara: (Even longer than this one seems)
Tara: Ok, Chairman.
Tara: See Speaker.
Tara: The Chairman is the Speaker candidate with the second highest number of votes
Tara: She or he steps in for the Speaker as needed.
Tara: Should the Speaker move to Tahiti, the Chairman moves up.
Lynne Darkthorne: *coughs and grins*
Tara: Should the Speaker be impeached....Compassion help the Chairman.
Maryia Shadebane: *laughs*
Jazon: *cracks up*
Tara: That fairly clear?
Adin DarkMoor: aye
Ce'Nedra Willow: *nods*
Isk: *nods twice*
Tara: Good.
Jazon: *nods*
Tara: The remaining positions are not elected.
Tara: You *will* be an arbiter.
Tara: And you *will* be in an interest group.
Jazon: *gulp*
Tara: I will review the list of those present and divide them all up
Lynne Darkthorne: ( I feel pressured now :( )
Maryia Shadebane: *peers with newfound terror at Tara*
Maryia Shadebane: You mean...work?
Cleome Arachnid: oh dear
Tara: Your duties are listed on my post...and they really are not that hard.
Tara: Honestly.
Maryia Shadebane: *shuts up quickly*
Tara: The interest people do one event a month......
Jazon: 9as if running a government isn't enough work????!!!!)
Tara: But they all rotate.
Tara: So if we have five interest groups...
Adin DarkMoor: *chuckles lightly*
Tara: You have to throw one party every six months.
Tara: I think we can all handle that.
Dayn Elderan: A party?
Tara: The arbiters will be a rotating pool of people who will simply decide who is
Tara: right in an argument so we can all move on.
Cleome Arachnid: *raises hand*
Jazon: (sounds fun)
Tara: Cleome?
Cleome Arachnid: I would like to be an arbitrator
Cleome Arachnid: incharge
Tara: *smiles*
Tara: Good thing, you are all arbiters.
Tara: But I will speak with you later on an idea I just had for an arbiter liaison.
Tara: Something to make the Speaker's job easier.
Jazon: 9oh-uh)
Tara: Ok....so those are the positions.
Tara: Now, next meeting, and/or the following....we will hear
Tara: from anyone who wishes to run for Speaker.
Tara: Nothing huge....just a short speech that says who you are...
Tara: And what your qualifications are.
Tara: For example:
Tara: Were I to run, I would say that I was a guild leader of Clan Moor
Tara: of the Lost Order of Akalabeth and now of the Order of the Ebon Skull.
Tara: I was a seer on Catskills.
Tara: I wrote the rules.
Tara: *grins*
Cara Delacroix: *laughs*
Cleome Arachnid: *smiles at Lionel*
Tara: This is your chance to brag.
Jazon: (seers rocked!)
Tara: So tell the Assembly why it is that you have something to bring to the
Tara: position.
Tara: Ok, now...who would like to run for Speaker?
Isk: I would.
Maryia Shadebane: *raises hand*
Isk: *sits back*
Jazon: *stares at thee insane people*
Isk: *folds his arms*
Maryia Shadebane: *looks sufficiently crazy*
Tara: Going once? Twice?
Tara: *smashes a skull on the podium*
Tara: Let the record show that Isk and Maryia Shadebane are certifiably nuts...
Adin DarkMoor: *jumps at the smashing*
Jazon: non no chaos!
Syrina: *laughs*
Annunzio: *chuckles*
Maryia Shadebane: Indeed
William Smit IV: I second that!
Tara: Er,,,,,I mean wish to run for Speaker.
Tara: *smiles*
Maryia Shadebane: If it helps my case, I have a certificate verifying that!
Isk: *smiles behind his mask*
Jazon: *leans towards voting for maruia*
Tara: Because there are only two candidates, we will leave the
Tara: chance open on the boards
Tara: (Since two hardly a fun race makes)
Tara: (And we are missing most of the guilds)
Tara: If anyone wishes to run for Speaker between now and the next meeting
Tara: Simply but your name up on the board.
Tara: Are there any further questions?
Ce'Nedra Willow: *shakes head*
Annunzio: *writes quickly*
Tara: *bends over and picks up a large skull*
Jazon: *pities Annunzio*
Tara: *slams the skull on the podium, sending shards of bone throughout*
Tara: *the assembly*
Tara: Meeting Adjourned
