Title: Oracle event 1-16-23

Our fact finding mission to determin the health of the realm starts with a visit to Jervis in the Castle Blackthorn courtyard just past the bridge.

Jervis greets us warmly and asks if we are the ones sent Rannulf sent. Jarvis states our Royal Higness demands a fact finding mission of how his kingdom prospers at the start of the new year.

We are tasked with gathering infornation on the variuos groups with in the realm are faring. He states it will be quite a task but we need to speak to variuos people throughout the realm and guage how they fare.

We may even need to help them speak freely with a bit of bribery. Asking them what they need and helping them may just do the trick. The responses from the various groups requested are summerized in the report for the crown.

The report should be turned into the mailbox at 24 South 1 East coordinates Rangers of Skara Brae Moll the Ranger Upon greeting Moll, he states that the crown sometimes forgets how the Rangers fare as they protect his highnesses wilderness.

It is the charge of the Rangers to protect the woodland realms of Britainia. The Rangers glady accomplish this task and they state they are "Faithful" to the crown, although they would request a bit of recognition for their effots if possible.

Maybe a plaque, Thanks?

Minoc Forges Hamilyn the miner

I greet Hamilyn upon meeting him at the forge area but am taken aback by his response.

Hamilyn ask me to take a hike, he has a pickaxe in his hands and looks like he means business. After a few nervous minutes, he apologizes and states he had a bad day.

He has been swinging that pickaxe at the wall all day and is a bit worn down by the drudgery.

He states he could use a bottle of ale, I quickly pass him one from my pack.

Once he gets a few drinks in him, he is very talkative and gives me some information for the report.

He states I can report back to the fancy nobels that the wealth of Mount Kendal seems unending, unlike the health of those that work to free her riches.

Health insurance comes to mind but i say nothing and give my thanks for his help.

Lycaeum, Moonglow Elyes the Mage

Approaching Elyes I notice he looks at me suspiciously. He asks me if I need anything and states he needs nothing.

Sarcastically he tells me they divined our presence would be happening and that we "grace" them with our presnce here on Veirty Island.

Calling me one of the crowns "officiants", he is snide as he tells me the crown would do well to remeber the Council of Mages fare just fine without interference from the mainland.

The look I give him prompts him to state that The Council of Mages still manage their own affairs, and why would't they. It has been years since the Faction wars afterall he says. He ends up apologizing if he offended me and says these constant inspections called 'fact-finding" missions are taxing and untrusworthy. He tells me to put that in my report.

Very short clipped responses and not all to accomidating.

Britain - W. Brit Farms Stell the Farmer

Stell asks me if I need anything as I greet her upon arriving, eyeing some substance all over my shoes making the soil stick and weighing me down.

She tells me asking about her needs is a bit forward in her opinion.

I decide it is better to ask how do the farmers fare instead.

She says things are a bit tricky as the yield was not what they wanted.

The onions failed and she asks me if I could help them make up for the shortfall, any amount of gold would go a long ways.

I naturally offer a gift of a sack of gold which seems to be the perfect solution to their needs.

Accepting the gold, she states that the gold will help smooth things over and agrees to answer the questions I have.

She states the farmers fair well but just barely. life is hard when the crops do not come in. Maybe a sponsorship from the Crown or collective may help.

Vesper - Docks Rolf the Sailor

Upon offering a greeting to Rolf, he asks me what do I need. I return the gesture asking him the same question and he states he needs just the sea and he fares well. He looks me up and down asking if I am a "swabby" sent to check up on the sailors.

He tells me that he cannot speak to how the sailors fare but also offers the information that one of the ships from Jhelom is overdue by over a week.

He goes on to say that if I want to find out how the sailors fare, I should go to Dragon Island and see if any survivors are on the island.

He is nervous thinking maybe the worst has happened.

Dagger Island North of Jhelom Wilson the Pirate

Upon meeting up with Wilson, he is visually haggard and states he is in need of rescue. He clearly needs a way off the island and is jabbering about needing fewer pirates roaming the waters around Jhelom. He goes on to tell me that they were set upon by pirates just north of Jhelom.

When i ask of the mission I have been tasked with, he is very strait forward in telling me that his Highness needs to clean up the waters around Jhelom of all the Pirates.

I offer to take Wilson to Jhelom.

Maybe time for the Navy to get into clean up mode.

It seems the health of the kingdom is in need of some simple hands on appraocah repairs, or some TLC to help it move to a better place.

All in all, the kingdom is prospering but has a few needs to be taken care of.
