Title: The Invasion

There came a time when the troubles of Akalabeth came across the sea to these lands. The wizard Mondain had heard about the great swordsmith who had armed the daimyo and samurai of Rondorin Castle, and Mondain envied this martial power, as he did all other power. He wished to take the smith and force him to produce a sword worthy of his vile enchantment.
The daimyo refused to hand over his smith to such a wicked man, and Mondain laid siege to Rondorin Castle, surrounding the walls with his inhuman hordes.
Knowing that a long siege would waste their strength, the garrison chose to ride out against the Akalabeth tyrant’s army. One thousand samurai stood against a force of twenty thousand.
While the larger army tried to outflank the mounted warriors, the defenders of Rondorin Castle were superior swordfighters and riders.
They used skill and maneuverability to whittle away their enemy, and in the end, Mondain’s forces were forced to retreat. While victorious, half a thousand samurai lay dead on the battlefield.
