THE RITUALS
The Ritual of Naming
When one decides to take up magics seriously it is wise to weave ones astral signature to the pattern of a mage of renown. If the name is one of an already deceased magus it will be woven with no resistance. If the magus to who you will weave your pattern to is still alive he or she can break off the link at any moment through a counter ritual.
The benefits of this rite is to give the magus an already established astral aura. Spirits will see you as the magus to whom you have woven your link and thus will treat you as a more respected practitioner. The most importand benefit of this rite is that one can commune with the magus who's patern one shares be he dead or alive untill the pattern is shattered by a breaking ritual.
THE RITUAL:
You will call the name of the targeted pattern holder while facing north. You will take six steps forward holding in your hand an item that once belonged to the owner of the pattern which you are weaving to. Kneeling you will speak the words of summoning to tell the pattern holder of your desire.
"(name of pattern holder) O thou of the ancient Craft. By your magic name I desire to be known (name of pattern holder)" Stand and repeat the name of the pattern holder twelve times then kneel once more. "With this name I will work my magics. With this name the spirits will know me" At this moment take the item that once belonged to the pattern holder and swallow it. The rite is over you are named.
TO CUT THE PATTERN:
Simply shave your head with silver scissors while chanting the name of the pattern holder backwards untill you have no hair. The Ritual of Binding
This ritual is used to mark an item as your own. By linking the item's astral self with your pattern you know where the item is and its surroundings as if you are the item.
THE RITUAL:
Submerge the item in pure water. Cut your palm and let six droplets of blood fall into the water. Spin the water in cirlces colckwise with the hand you had cut and repeat "I bind us" twelve times. As you finish spin the water with your uncut hand counter-clockwise and take your cut hand out of the water. Spin counter-clockwise twelve times and repeat the words "Fah Menan Astras" four times. The ritual is over you are bound to it. Create Familiar
Used to create a magicaly bound creature. The creature can perform limited tasks and needs the caster's blood to remain active.
THE RITUAL:
-Make a doll at least two inches high from loam and beeswax.
-Create a hollow opening from its head to its feet.
-fill the hollow
