In Victus's late 20s, he resided in the small town of Orin. During this time, rumors of heresy were being spread amongst paranoid villagers. The town was searched for clues, but nothing came up. 2 years later, when Victus had turned 28, the rumors began to spread again. This time heretics were caught and executed. However, it was discovered through the interrogation of these heretics that they sought an artifact that had been locked away in the catacombs located in the graveyard, where the tomb of the original mayor, Andor Tark lay undisturbed for centuries. This artifact was to be used to summon a daemon known as Wrin the Defiler. The cult came out of hiding and butchered the virtuous protectors of the town, save for a few survivors including Victus. The artifact was acquired and the daemon was summoned. Victus and the surviving warriors fought their way through the cultists to reach the daemon- and slay it. The daemon was destroyed, and in the end, it had destroyed Orin. Victus had seen horrible tragedies that day.
