'''Bagball''' is a sport played across Britannia. Several guilds have their own official bagball teams, resplendent in their unique colours, with their own legions of fans who follow their team’s progress throughout the realm.
The game is played on a pitch approximately 23 paces long, 15 paces wide. It has a half-way line marked as well as two goal posts approximately 3 paces located at each end of the pitch. The game is played by two teams, each team comprising of four players. The ‘ball’ is a bag containing a large number of logs, so many that it is impossible to carry, but it is possible to drag and throw the bag short distances. The game starts with both teams on opposite sides of the pitch, near their own goal. The ball is placed at the centre of the half-way line, and both teams are then given the signal, after which play begins and both teams lunge toward the centre line, hoping to keep the bag on the opposition’s side of the pitch as much as possible. Goals are scored by throwing the bag over the oppositions goal-line, having first thrown it on the line itself. This gives the opportunity for players to clear the bag before it is thrown over for a goal. A referee should be nominated, someone neutral to both teams, to confirm goals, judge foul-play, and decide when play begins and ends.

Bagball

Bagball is a sport played across Britannia. Several guilds have their own official bagball teams, resplendent in their unique colours, with their own legions of fans who follow their team’s progress throughout the realm. The game is played on a pitch approximately 23 paces long, 15 paces wide. It has a half-way line marked as well as two goal posts approximately 3 paces in width located at each end of the pitch. The game is played by two teams, each team comprising of four players. The "ball" is a bag containing a large number of logs, so many that it is impossible to carry, but it is possible to drag and throw the bag short distances. The game starts with both teams on opposite sides of the pitch, near their own goal. The ball is placed at the center of the half-way line, and both teams are then given the signal, after which play begins and both teams lunge toward the center line, hoping to keep the bag on the opposition’s side of the pitch as much as possible. Goals are scored by throwing the bag over the opposition's goal-line, having first thrown it on the line itself. This gives defenders the opportunity to clear the bag before it is thrown over for a goal. A referee should be nominated—someone neutral to both teams—to confirm goals, judge foul play, and decide when play begins and ends.

The Teams

Teams consist of 3-6 players each with 1-2 reserve players.
Each team elects a Captain (being the only one who is allowed to argue with the referee).

The Field

The field measures 15 squares in width and 23 squares in length (11 squares for each half plus the center-line)
The goals are 3 squares in width and 1 square in length (at each far end of the field right in the center)

The Official Bagball

An official bagball has a weight of exactly 400 stones and is colored yellow (the highlighting yellow color).

Rules

Bagball is played in matches of 20 minutes, divided into two halves of 10 minutes each with a 3-5 minute half-time break. The referee starts the match by dropping the bagball in the center of the field, with all players lined up in their own half, at a distance of five squares from the center of the field. To start the match, the referee gives a signal, for example: 'One ... Two ... Three ... GO!'.
Each team will need its own unique uniform.
To score a goal, the bagball must be dropped onto the goal-line before it can actually be dropped into the goal, to give the defense one last chance to avoid the goal.
Play restarts after each goal, after a foul (see below), or after play is halted due to too many people crowding around the ball and thus preventing it from being 'passed'.
A maximum of two players from the defense are allowed either to stand in the goal or on the goal-line; if more do so, it is a foul, which results in a penalty.

Fouls

Major fouls: Forbidden actions which may result in the disqualification of the offending player or team

Wearing armour / wielding weapons
Using magic
Using purple potions
Dropping a bag other than the bag being used for the match
Trade window exchanges
Any other action the referee deems aggressive or excessively disruptive

Minor fouls: Forbidden actions which result in a penalty

Excessive bagholding
Crowding one's own goal with more than two players
Using potions (purple potions are absolutely forbidden—see above)
Outside interference

Penalties

If the referee calls a foul, a penalty will be assessed on the fouling team. The bagball will be dropped in the center of the field and the fouling team has to line up in front of their goal-line and must not move. Once the bagball is played in their half, they are allowed to move again.
