Khaldun
by Statura
-As you open the book you feel a cold, unsettling feeling in the room-
The feeling you have felt is the feeling I have felt in Khaldun. When I first heard from the High Priest what my quest would be.... I knew it would not be easy. I shall tell you of Khaldun and how I found my way to the inner sanctum.
When I first entered Khaldun... I knew I belonged here. It is filled with evil creatures, people, and undead. There is only one floor to this horrid place. But do not let that fool you. You will encounter creatures that ye thought never existed.
Now I shall tell ye the secret of finding the inner sanctum. T'is not easy. I first realized I could not kill every creature that approached me. I would be too overwhelmed with their power and numbers. So I decided I should scout Khaldun first. I found there is only one floor. I also found the inner sanctum... and I was surprised. There were no doors that allowed me to entered. This is when I realized I must read about this dungeon. I stayed in my study for many hours reading of this evil place. I soon found out that there was a secret switch.
This switch would lift a stone on the other side of the dungeon which opened the doors to the inner sanctum. But there was a down side... If ye were not fast enough it would close on you before ye got there. this is when I left my home to go back to Khaldun. I entered and scouted the walls. When all of a sudden a door lifted from the wall that lead to a hallway.
I walked in being very careful. And then, I found the switch my books spoke of. So I turned the switch on in the hidden hallway. Ran around searching for the leaver. I did not find it. So I went back to the switch and did the same. I ran around and found a falling boulder. I looked closer. And I was shocked, it t'was the leaver. I had barely enough time to pull it. The boulder almost crushed my hand... and if that had happened... ye may not be reading this. So I ran to the inner sanctum. There were four hallways which touched the main walls of Khaldun. I looked at one. Nothing.
And then ran to another and found it. I walked in and I could not believe what I found. T'was all evil. I went to the center and sat down. Said a prayer to the Oblivion and left to home. This dungeon is not for the weak minded.
Walk in the darkness...
