Magincia at a Glance
Maginica is presently run by Isk the Magnate and his wife, Angelique the Royal Patrona. The House of Isk had been brought into the ranks of nobility by the Regency over two years ago upon the dismantling of the Hand of Humanis and rules the independent island with benevolence. In the last year the House of Isk has undergone a series of building projects to place their eternal mark on the city. The Magnate has dedicated a basilica to the people of Magincia on the northern beach and the Patrona has dedicated a garden to the Philosophe.

The majority of Magincians follow an augmented teaching of “Virtue” whereby Pride replaces Humility, though the old practice of praying to the Humanis saints still has a foothold among even these Magincians.
The Basilica of the Magincians houses
the statues of Isk and Angelique.
The reverence of the infant saint Antonius, a child of a Sanctus woman and Nothus Victor, who died in the Great Magincian Plague, is especially popular among women  for it is believed that bringing baby shoes or bowls of milk to the Shrine of Antinus within Magincia’s Cultural Centre (located in the westen jungle) wins the saint’s protection.

The shop and home owners in Magincia are all human as it is illegal for elves to create permanent residence within the city. Though elves and other races pass through Magincia there is an unwritten rule that they hide their inferior features and try to pass themselves off as humans for their own safety.
Crime in Magincia is almost nonexistent as severe measures are taken for breaking city laws. The safe environment and openness of the city is why there are no doors in the city. The lack of doors also means that the city has no secrets.

Magincia considers itself neutral to all nations run by humans though it has become friendly with Yew. Relations with Moonglow are progressing towards friendship with the establishment of trade routes. Magincia’s main exports include books, sand, and diamonds. There is a lucrative diamond mine located underneath the city which helps fund the city’s paid guards and events.
