A Lexicon of Humanis Terms

Co- Prosperity Sphere: A universal trade system under the centralized control of the Philosophe in which all cities send their native goods to other cities on a regular basis. All cities therefore receive goods from every city within the Co-Prosperity Sphere. These goods are then distributed by city overseers to all human residents thereby eliminating the need for gold. Hand of Humanis: The first successful Humanis based guild created by Artero Kingston then subsequently run by Mark Randerstill based off the core ideas found in the Manifesto of the Human Nation. Humanis: The philosophical belief in the inherent superiority of humanity over all creatures and races. The term Humanis can be used in both singular and plural forms.

Manifesto of the Human Nation: Otherwise known as the Humanis Manifesto, the Manifesto of the Human Nation is a 40 page book which outlines the core beliefs of what would become the Humanis movement. Written by Khay’Thall, an eminent scholar of humanity and former member of Isk’s Order of Ashes, the Manifesto is the most circulated book in the realm. Minor Races: All nonhuman races are inferior and therefore minor. Mother: Among past members of the Humanis movement the Mother was the creator goddess of humanity. The being that placed humans upon Sosaria to rule all of creation. Philosophe: The leader of Humanity. A messiah like figure destined to return one day and lead the race of humanity to its inevitable destiny as rulers of all creation. Former Philosophes include Mondain and Lord British.

Racial Scale: As defined by the Manifesto of the Human Nation it is the scale which explains why humanity is superior to other races. The Racial Scale goes as follows: Humanity as the highest followed by dwarves, elves, drow and lastly orcs as the most inferior race of all. Year Zero: The first year of the Philosophe’s ascension as the single lord of all the shard. The calendar will begin at zero to signify this event. During Year Zero gold coins will be removed from circulation, lords and peasants will be made as equals and the cities will enter the Co-Prosperity sphere.
