A Sermon For the Pure
The First Sermon by Reverend Mother Evangeline
-Evangeline
An open prayer service was held in late June which was attended by a few Great Names as well as Loyalists and neutrals. The Reverend Mother Evangeline welcomed those who came and when the room was filled gave a spirited sermon on Virtue and the need to walk in friendship.

At first the Reverend Mother called on the virtuous saying “My fellows. Virtue has come to call. And it speaks to every one of you!”

After which the Reverend Mother discussed Moonglow and the need for a virtuous government there. As the prayer progressed all were called upon to shake the hands of their neighbours.

Then Evangeline spoke to them saying “Kneel. Kneel in humility. Kneel on the hard stone. And repeat the mantra ‘Great are the virtues!’”

“Justice is reserved for the just. You are the scales.”

And the people shouted “Great are the virtues”

“Honestly is given to those who are true believers. Strike your open hand upon the heads of the sinners.”

And their voice lifted “Great are the virtues”

“Honor is to be given to the honorable. Drink from the cups of truth.”

Cries “Great are the virtues”

“Instill humility in your enemies. Pitty them!”

“Great are the virtues” vibrated off the walls.

“Sacrifice the enemy upon your swords. Roast them with your spells. It is time for the infidels to pay for their transgressions with their blood.”
Mother Evangeline offers prayers to the faithful
The faithful  take on a pilgrimage to Moonglow to finish the prayer service
Great rejoicing of “Great are the virtues” shook the room into a frenzy of faith.

“Give Compassion to the corpses of the enemy. Burry them and pray for them. Through you their spirits will enter the afterlife.”

Kneeling they shouted “Great are the virtues”

After this the prayer session moved to Moonglow where the strongest of the faith kissed the ground of the city of Honesty. They moved towards the shore where the water wet their feet and kneeled to wash the feet of their neighbours. It is in this way that all showed their love for one another and struck up a bond. They would know each other by the sign of the ankh.
