It had all gone bad from the beginning. Tai Kwan had been in the Citadel trying to find the Orders from Minax.

He had just secured the High Executioner room when a hunting party asked if he would join them. They promised that with his help they would confront the Lord of the manor, Travesty.

As they went down the stairs they cautioned Tai about the dangers ahead.

Tai Kwan rushed headlong into the fray and was knocked across the room for his efforts. He stood up and adjusted his clothing and armor and went in again.

He awoke laying in the meditation pond in Zento. As he rolled over he realized the light was too bright. He went to rub his hand over his bald head and found hair instead.

Tai Kwan pulls himself out of the pond and almost reaches a bench.

He is awakened by Grigori. With the boy's help he makes his way back to the Garden where he heads for the cellar and crawls as deep into the shadows as he can.

"Go and fetch the Lady Rryn. I think I have been injured" Tai says as he sends the boy forth.

The man sat up on the bench. Grigori stared at him. He was sure it Mr. Tai because he was wearing his armor, but he sure looked funny. At that moment the man spoke and Grigori knew it was him by his voice. He asked Grigori to help him get back to the Garden and Grigori did as asked. Adults sure did puzzle him sometimes. Maybe Mr. Tai was playing some kind of game and he was wearing a mask. There was no sorting out their silly behavior sometimes. Like moms crying cause you give them flowers, shouldn't they smile? Staring at the man he knew had to be Mr. Tai, but wasn't, one last time, Grigori turned to go fetch Ms. Rynn like he asked. On his way out, not being able to resist, he walked over and touched the tip of Mr. Tai's ear and then felt his own, sure did seem real. Mr. Tai sure did a good job. Grigori stopped at the door and looked back at Mr. Tai. "That sure is one good dis. . gu. . . degu. . . dis. . guys, Mr. Tai. I don't think it will fool Ms. Rynn though. Girls sure can be smart sometimes and I think she will see right through it. But I won't tell her and ruin your fun." Whistling, he skipped from the room to fetch Ms. Rynn.
