It had been a couple of weeks since she had seen home. It pulled at her heart and made her think of the things that were most important to her. Her gaze fell on the camp fire before her as she became mesmerized by the dancing flames. She had done nothing but search her soul since she left. She had nothing to keep her company save for the animals in the woods. She knew she must find her path and it was hard to fathom where it would take her now. She had loved and lost many things in such a short time… but there was hope that she could still love again, still find the fun loving woman she was at one time.. she just had to heal and stumble over the pain of her past first.
Brianha had learned many things and she believed it would make her a better person no matter the cost it took from her right now… in the end she would triumph.
With a small smile she took a piece of parchment out of her pack and began to scribble a note.
Dageus,
I thank you for looking after my home and all it encompasses. I now have a favor to ask and will pay you for your troubles in my affairs. I would ask you to seek out a buyer for my home and sell it as soon as may be. My belongings you may put into storage for my return. I realize this will inconvenience you a bit, as you were staying there for the time.. but I assure you if you seek out my cousin whom lives right behind me, she will surly be a most gracious host until my return where then I shall pay you handsomely for your troubles. As agreed before I left, if there is anything at all that needs my attention you know where to leave me word. I thank you beyond words for your help.
-Brianha
She gently took out her little squirrel friend Cecil from her pack that had been given to her by the Druids many moons ago, and softly stroked its fir. “I need you to take this to my house for me little one”. The squirrel looked up at her and almost seemed to nod as he snatched it and ran to do the task at hand. Bri laughed a bit and then refocused her attentions on the plans she needed to make for her return home. |
