Angelique awoke just in time to sit on the bed and watch the sun set out over the water. All the shades blending, mixing, complimenting each other. The sun, the way the pinks, and oranges changed to darker hues of puples in the clouds and grew darker to near red where it reached the horizon of the sea, and the shades blending even more in the reflection on the water.

Looking to the bed she saw the very same. The shades of the auras complimenting and merging with each other. The greens and orange shades of Isk blending with those orange and violet shades of Auris and Athlon, complimenting the pinks and blues of Arella. Blending of the souls, bonding as some families called it. Yes, The House of Isk was one.

The five of them had shared the family bed since Isk placed them each there after the birth. Arella being there first to watch the birthing of the twins. Athlon taking his place on the bed next after Isk had bathed him and Angelique fed him. Auris being the second born was placed in the bed just before Isk carried the exhausted Angelique from the gypsy birthing chair to the bed.

Two nights and two days in the bed, each growing closer to each other. Isk pampering Angelique by bringing up picnics for them to share in the bed. Angelique feeding her family. Arella, still motionless the majority of the time, not quite a year old, but her eyes told of her excitement of her brothers. The coos and cries of the newborns like music to Angelique's ears, after almost a year of silence with Arella.

As sunset gave way to darkness, Angelique lay back on down on the bed, watching the four of them sleep. Isk's arm around his three bundles of joy, giving a sense of security to each. Another picture for her memory book.
