Penny just gazed down upon the sleeping form of James. She could not help but to touch his cheek and his arm. Almost to assure herself that he was real and true; not one of her visions. She leaned down and kissed his cheek, which caused him to stir abit with a smile on his face. She leaned back in the chair that was by his bed. Her thoughts return to how it came to be.....

There they were in Moonglow of the dead lands. Thorian had made a few comments about it being a non war zone, indicating a few of the men were armed.

"You have something I want to see."

She said with a tone of command in her voice. Thorian trying to tease her continued to ask her what it was worth. Was it worth her life, which she replied that it was...then he asked if it was worth one of the others life. Penny in turn told him that she could only offer her own and not another. Trying to be the devious one, he asked,

"So you are saying this isn't worth any other lives but your own?"

To which Penny replied with a calm collective tone.

"Its worth yours."

"Oh so we are resorting to threats?"

Penny just shook her head.

"Nay tis only a simple answer to the question you asked."

Finally after a few more word games, Thorian agreed to let her have the book on the condition he get to hear the words. Penny agreed after all she was surrounded by friends. So Thorian led them to where the ritual was to take place. The others gathered around, though one of them left. Lady Tatinana had felt it was an evil ritual and she would take no part in it. Penny fully understood her position and saw her off. Penny stood in the center taking hold of James' war hammer. She then started to say the words, with the others repeating after her. Once the chant was said first time, Penny felt herself being lost to some form of engery..that she could feel and hear crackling about her. She repeated the chant two more times when a vortex appeared and James stepped out. Penny, feeling quite drained, was about to say something when Thorian started to attack James. Before Penny could register what was going on, the others had dealt with the problem, killing him where he stood. James was healed of the wounds inflicted by the man. Penny then gated all of them back for a celebration. She and James had a moment alone while the others went to Hanse. Penny had left James for he wished to freshen up. As she left him she felt a coolness cover her body when a spirit claiming to be Thorian appeared. He cursed her and the city of Sanctus and swore his revenge. After that was said he chanted which brought two large dragons to materalize before her. She was about to run and warn everyone when the spirit somehow managed to turn solid letting a dagger cut along her stomache. The being laughed and disappeared. Penny ran to see if she could help, but the men of Sanctus had the beasts slayed. Gailen assisted her to the tavern to help tend to her wound, when Sanctus was plagued with spiders then scorpians. When the threat was no longer immediate, everyone relaxed and some even went to train. Penny then returned to James home and went to his room...

Here she still sits keeping a watchful eye out for her beloved. She felt complete once again. She looked upon him as the love in soul gave a shine to her eyes. Now, she was truly home.

Zarlox smiled softly as he again congratulated Penny on the safe return of James. He too was happy his old friend had returned, but he also knew that he could never approach how she felt. The joy of having a loved one returned to you was about the greatest feeling one could have, something Zarlox would never again experience.

Sitting in his office the General wished he felt more excited about James return. Instead, the pain again took hold of him. The loss of Sadira had put a damper on his emotions, a damper that didn’t seem like it would ever lighten up. Shaking his head he fought to rid himself of these feelings. James was back, Bailos had been caught and would stand trial for his crimes, Sanctus was flourishing. He should feel happy for these things. Sighing he stood and headed out to where many troops were gathered. He had a duty to perform still…. it was all he had.
