He stood amoungst the gathered crowd around him. They whispered, pointed, and mumbled disbelief.
I'll say it again. I will give ten thousand for one of you to come with me. he uttered in a cold and emotionless tone.
He peered through his ruby red lens staring out infront of him to a man who looked no more than sixteen. His rough form gave him the impression he had been through quite a bit. The man stared back at his ruby lens which reflected back the mans own reflection with a cocky glare.
I'll do it! This will be easy gold for my pocket! hah!. The man said in return.
He could see the greed in his eyes, the attitude that he could do all. With little effort he tossed a heavy bag of gold towards the man.
That is half, the other half you will recieve upon completion. Dont disappoint me. Helvictus uttered forth from behind the Iron mask.
Bwhaha, all too easy. Let's get iths over with and give me my money!! the man said all too eager.
Good let us get under way. Dont fall behind. I'd hate to see you get killed by the creatures around here. he replied to the cocky man with the same cold and emotionless tone.
Turning around he pushed his way through the still shocked and cautious Minoc citizens. The all too eager man followed his the dark robed man of the Iron mask and ruby lens. As the finaly left the city of minoc on the north east road that connects Vesper and Minoc a skeleton walked about.
It turned towards the group of two but halted as it peered upon Helvictus. It just stood there and bowed its skull slightly in respect. They walked the dirt road for fifteen minutes before Helvictus halted.
We turn here. Dont fall behind. If you do then you become the prey of the forrests inhabitants. He spoke with little annoyance in his voice.
Helvictus pointed towards the east into the forrest. Without even turning back to look if the man followed he began walking east into the forrest. They walked for hours in the forrest in the same direction to the east. Creatures could be seen moving about in the forrest but never approaching.
As the small group reached the stone tower the man held out his hald palm face up.
So this is where you give me the rest of the money. Or are you going to make it hard for your self? He said in with a smirk on his face.
Helvictus turned around slowly and peered at the man through the ruby lens. For several long moments he stared at the man who was starting to grow annoyed. Helvictus brought his left arm up placed a tight grip on the man's head. A look of shock and anger filled his face. He punched towards Helvictus but all that was heard was a loud crack of the mans own fist. He shattered his own hand upon the armor hidden beneath the dark robe. The mans face full of anger and shock quickly turned to that of pain and horror as the grip on his own head became more painfull as Helvictus placed even more preassure on his head.
Turning around with his grip on the mans head he began to walk up the steps towards the door. The man stumbled forward for a few steps forward till he tripped upon a stair. He fell forward and instictivly put one of his hands to brace himself. For his own luck it happened to be the hand he shatter upon Helvictus's armor. A loud crack echoed into the forrest as his forearm broke pushing a bone through the skin. Blood poured through the open would like a scarlet stream.
Helvictus continued to drag the screaming man up the stairs and through the heavy metal doors. He placed his hand on one of the support towards and pushed the the wall forward through the secret door. With the man dragged behind him he walked to the stair case and climbed upwards, pushed through the gate on the roof and towards the pentagram on the ground. Helvictus tossed the man into the middle of the pentagram.
Oblivion take this man as a sacrifice. His body and soul are yours, his blood that of your taking. I offer him as a sacrifice to you oh great one. May he appease of my mighty master. Helvictus uttered in a low tone as the man before him shaked with fear and grimiced in pain.
As he the words were spoke ended entropic fire slowly circled around the man tracing the pentagram's lines. The man cowared as he became surrounded in the entropic fire. The entropic with a sudden burst consumed the man.For a few brief moments he screamed as his flesh burned off, his hand and skin melted then he turned to nothing but a pile of ash. Helvictus looked down at the pile of ash then pulled out a heavy bag filled with gold.
Here is the rest of the payment. The other five thousand in full. Dont spend it all in one place." Helvictus uttered once again in his cold tone of voice.
He raised the heavy bag of gold above and dropped it upon the ash letting the ash scatter across the pentagram. _________________ "The virtues are a curtian of lies made by the corpse king. While they pray to the lies of a dead man we, my brethren...we grow strong. |
