[Cat Lyxen]

The day was beautiful. The sun was shinning and the air was crisp with the smell of fall. Cat stood in her bedroom. As she pulled the snow white dress over her head she heard Scribble gasp,” You look good enough to eat honey bunny”
Cat grinned “ Thanks Scrib, ya look purrrty too.”
Scribble was wearing a beautiful blue dress with bits of ribbon woven in her long white hair. Rinoa came in to the room trying in desperation to fasten the dress around her expansive bosom. Cat looked around and asked where Ditto was. Scribble told her not to worry that Ditto wouldn’t miss the most important day of Cat’s life.

Cat walked to her little treasure box and opened it. Inside there were notes, bits of cloth and a small vial of water along side an arrow shaft. She remembered the song Poet had sung to her when he gave her the rain water and the arrow, she smiled. She slipped a necklace around her throat and closed the box.

Scribble told her there were visitors downstairs so she went down to see who it was. As she walked in the room she saw Tai Kwan Leap and his wife Rryn with her hands full with three little babies. Tai walked to Cat and bowed deep from the waist, Cat in turn bowed back. Tai bowed again, and Cat in turn bowed once again. When Tai started to bow again Cat began to giggle. They talked for a few minutes and Cat gave little stuffed toys she had sewn to the babies. She saw the love for her children reflected in Rryn’s eyes and smiled.
Cat watched them walk outside in the sun. As she watched, a shadow blocked out the sunlight coming through the door. A large man walked through and took her hands. She was so startled tears sprang to her eyes. “ Angus!” She whispered.
Angus pulled her close and hugged her, he touched her face softly and walked back outside.
Scribble and Rinoa came down to her from the bedroom. Scribble cast a spell and a blue gate appeared. They all walked through to a beautiful meadow full of late blooming flowers. Scribble told Cat to wait until she, Ditto and Rinoa had gone ahead. Cat waited.

She heard someone walk up behind her and turned to see Zezal. He smiled and took her hand, placing it on his arm. As they walked through a crowd of people Cat saw so many faces of friends. She tried to see through the crowd to their destination but it was too far.

When she had walked it seemed a long ways Zezal stopped, kissed her cheek and urged her to walk on. She turned towards the flower covered altar at the front of the crowd seeing a holy man and someone else. She looked to her right and saw Tatianna Alexi standing with Grigori and Arakad. She pulled on Tati’s sleeve and asked who was getting married. Tati just smiled as Grigori waved his little hand at her. She looked around and saw the Duke and Duchess of Yew, Isk and Angelique, Sid and Miranda. She thought to herself, but they were all married. She was having a hard time concentrating. Things began to blur. Everyone was smiling and laughing. The laughter was so loud she had to cover her ears.
Someone pushed her from behind and she started to walk again. From a ways she could still see a man in a robe and she saw a tall man next to him. “Poet!” she whispered.
As she walked faster to reach him he seemed to be farther and farther away. She neared the altar, a hand reached out to take hers. She took the hand and looked up in to the
face of her Father. He laughed his hoarse laugh. In his hand he held a scroll. Cat tried to back away but there was a man behind her. Her father reached for a torch and lit the scroll aflame. He yelled out’ “With This Scroll Burning, I Thee TAKE POSSESSION!” He threw back his head and laughed a hideous laugh. The scars on his face made his mouth twist into a permanent sneer. Cat was frozen in terror. She turned to the crowd to yell for help to see all the people dead or dying. There were pirates everywhere, slashing and stabbing.
“Your Protection is DEAD Dear daughter of Mine!! You will Pay for what he did to me!”
Captain Grey grabbed Cat by her hair. He took a large bag of gold from the robed man. Laughing he said ,” Get yer gold’s worth ! She’s all yours!”
The robed man took Cat’s arm in a tight grip and turned her to face him. She looked into the hood of the robe ……..

Cat woke up screaming. Her pulse was racing. She jumped from her bed looking frantically around the room but could see nothing but shadows from the fires light. She pulled a night dress over her naked form and sat in a chair in front of the fire. Shaking from head to toe she stared into the flames, praying for daylight.

'I'll end with an edit to Ditto's post since she obviously doesn't grasp the man code.......................having your sister entertained by another gentleman gives you clearance to entertain their sister without retribution while taking care of mom leads to a blood fued which can only end in death" Gnarlug
