I knew something was not right the moment I recognized the figure beneath the hood. Brianha. What was she hiding from? Who was causing her this pain? Vaen Swiftar? A man I once considred lucky to have a woman like Brianha, who had of late been causing the fair lady so much distress. And now this.. she hides her face from those she is obviously associating with.. whoever they are, they had better not hurt her.

Brianha.. what have you gotten yourself into? And why won't you tell me, so I may help you?

Very well. If you will not tell me, I shall follow you, in the shadows.

Seeing her cousin was hard.. She knew her cousin would not like her vague explanations. Claudette did not disappoint her, she wanted to know what was going on.. why Bri had to disguise herself in public places at times… why she only asked her to trust what she was doing and not ask her questions… But finally after not receiving answers Claudette accepted that for now as there was little she could do about it.

Bri donned her hooded robe and headed to Hanse’s Hostel with Claudette and Danifae. As soon as they arrived Bri could see Kay from under her hood and she cursed quietly thinking this was not good at all.. She also noticed members of the Order around. She sighed to herself.. this was indeed going to prove to be a hard task for her to manage. She knew that being disguised could only last for so long, but she could not let those she loved see her in her slaves robe.. nor could she let the Order see her not in it.. so until she no longer had to wear the slaves robe she would hide..

As she began to mount the steps to go inside Kay stopped her asking if she knew of a woman… he had not seen her he explained. Looking around and seeing it would be safe to do so Bri pulled back her hood only enough for him to see her face. She put her fingers to her lips motioning him to be quiet and she pulled the robe back over her face. He was persistent asking questions of her hiding.. wanting to know what danger she was in… it was hard for her to convince him to not worry for her. Eventually after much debate between the two he vanished. Claudette and Danifae had left and there was no one in the tavern that would know Bri so she decided it would be good for her to show herself to the Order.

She hid herself while she changed into her slaves robe and as soon as she was visible Kay appeared with an alarmed look on his face. He had been there watching over her. “I do not like this chev” he had said. She sighed and again the two debated. Bri tried to reassure him but could see he was still not satisfied with her explanation. She begged him to not follow her as he would come to see harm. Putting a hand on his forearm she had pleaded, “please trust me love”. He only nodded and eventually left…

Sucking in a deep breath she prepared herself to morph into a woman she was not. And so she went in and sat with the members of the Order that were there.. She must keep up appearances..

After some time Bri noticed Hugh and decided to try to get his attention on her way out. She excused herself from the others and as she walked by Hugh she nodded at him.. Thankfully he took this signal and followed her out. No real words were exchanged.. nothing that would give her away.. he pretended to stumble and he dropped a rune “Och look what I did in my drunken stupor” he had said with his Highland burr. She saw the rune and bent to retrieve it with a smile. It was a rune to Tai’s sensei. Hugh winked at her and said “ we are thinkin o you lass”. Bri nodded with a grin and winked back. He “stumbled” back into the tavern and Bri held the rune in her hands with reverence hoping she would find salvation.

With no more thought other than to ease her tortured soul and mind she used the rune and found herself at Master Po’s…
