She had slipped away silently in her grief. Not even her closest friends had known where she went. It must have seemed as if she had dropped off the face of the world. She had been gone for it seemed weeks now. The loss of her husband was overcoming her rational thought. She had to get back to her true mind before it drove her mad.

At first she just wandered into the woods near Gauntlet Isle and found herself sitting near the bridge that went to the mainland. She just stared into the abyss contemplating her life and how it had changed over the years.

She wished she could turn back the clock to the day she accepted the gift of the gemstone from the dragon...She didn't know what that would mean...Perhaps she could have stayed in the shadows and met Ragnar working at the tavern...but then would he have even noticed her? A mousy young elf without the stature she had gained by the time of their meeting? No probably not, and now he was gone...for the second time she had to part from him or did she. She glanced again into the abyss...she stood with her feet at the edge looking down. What was she thinking...she could not just give up...or could she...she decided to make a pilgramage...when that was done she would decide.
