An evening gone so wrong…. It had been so long since Brianha had seen Vaen and this is not what she pictured happening when finally she did see him. Sure she had every intention of speaking with him about his lack of time with her, but she had no idea by the end of the night that she would be so empty in her heart for many reasons.

Bri and Claud started out to see how the new house for her and Vaen was coming along. She had been spending so much time working on their new home and thinking she was pregnant she worked all that much harder so it would be finished. After time passed each day grew more lonely for her though and she had once again found herself in the company of Kay. He intrigued her and filled the loneliness that was keeping her prisoner. She shared a kiss with him, and knowing it was wrong to do so while she was sworn to another she made sure it went no further. She felt alive around him.. the way she used to feel with Vaen.. the way in her mind she could still feel with him had he just been around. They had grown so distant and she knew the time was coming where a decision must be made. Her heart ached thinking of how much they had shared and the possibility that it could all end.

After showing Claud and Danifae around they went down to take their leave. Danifae found her way out and then just as Bri and Claud were about to leave Vaen popped out of nowhere scaring Claud half to death. Looking at him Bri could tell he was not himself. His stance was different even. They began to argue about his not being around so Claud decided she would leave and come back later. After she left things exploded and Bri confessed to kissing another man out of loneliness. Vaen became a different person and the fighting actually became physical. She slapped him.. he slapped her back harder.. he threw a fireball at her.. she went to attack him and was frozen while he paced around her infuriating her by telling her to shut her mouth and to just sit there. At one point he even brought his blade to her throat applying pressure to her. She could not remember everything that was said.. but she remembered each blow that he made at her… and each time a piece of her heart broke. After the last blow to her, as she was lying on the floor with blood dripping down her legs and the pain taking over her body her last words in a whisper to him were “ You have just killed our baby”

He left and she could only scream for help as she came too again and still felt the pain wracking her body and the blood still dripping down her legs.. She could hear Claud and Max and Danifae outside but Vaen would not let them in… eventually he did leave and they came in to find her unconscious on the floor. Claudette and Danifae took her to the healer in Vesper where she was examined and healed. The healer was happy to inform her that she had never been pregnant… but instead had been suffering from much stress which was keeping her menses away. The bleeding was from internal injuries caused by her fight and not by the loss of a child.

After given the ok to leave it was decided that it would be best to go to Claudette and Meliors.. it would be safer there. And so with her heart bleeding inside she curled up with Claudette and fell into a fitful sleep determined that she would find out what has happened to him and restore him to the man she fell in love with.
