Resting his hand on the neck of the pack horse next to him, the youth took one last look at his home. Cold and desolate now, the empty stone fortress seemed to be draped in sadness.

With a smile, Abominox considered his prospects. After years of study and contacts, his dream was finally realized. He was soon to be the owner of a house in the ruins of Caina.

The youth turned around and prepared to lead the pack horse through a moongate when suddenly he heard a crash inside his house. Odd, he thought, it's empty... Cautiously he approached his old home. Damn Steel for never thinking of windows, he thought. He felt along the stone wall for the hidden door, and gripping his grimoire, flung it open.

The house was still empty.

But something wasn't right. As he stepped through the doorway, he stared in shock at the large "T" engraved in the floor where Steel's corpse had been. TOWN
RED
MURDER

The cryptic message held no meaning to Abominox, but he was more concerned with other matters. Like how the text got there in the first place.

The cold, lifeless eyes of Steel.

The jade green eyes flared a fiery orange hue. Just as he had ended Steel's life, the youth felt that his own end was soon to come.

Knowing the impossible power he was up against, he slumped and let it come.
