Maelwyn had been overjoyed at the restoration of Yew. It seemed that dealing with the Meer had paid off, and then some. They had regained contact with most of the long-lost guardians of Nature, the elves.

The weeks seemed better in recent times. They had overcome whatever malady had affected all of the Druids, as a whole.

Just when it had seemed things were looking positive, Arakad had contacted her.

She followed him to Sanctus, to Lady Reflov.

Immediately, she could sense there was something ill at foot. While talking with the lady, she was confirmed in her suspicions. The woman acted odd, contradicting herself, almost constantly. She would state one thing, then state an entirely different opinion, although almost mechanically, as if controlled.

Maelwyn had casted a spirit barrier on the room, in which no spirits may enter or leave the room. This would rule out possible outside influence. When Sadira had continued to act odd, with the barrier in place, Maelwyn had known that it was from within her or about her person.

She placed her hand upon the lady's head, finding it hot to the touch. She casted a quick spell of harm, for it's coldness, and then placed her palm over the woman's forehead. Chanting a simple, yet powerful Druid spell, which would render the malevolent force inactive for a temporary amount of time, she looked to Lady Sadira to confirm if it had worked.

"How will we know if it worked?" Sadira had asked.

Maelwyn simply asked her, "Whom do you wish to marry?"

"Zarlox!"

And thus, it had worked. But, it was only temporary. The particulars would have to be discovered. Such as, what form of control was it? A piece of jewelry, as Sadira suspected? A substance she may have imbibed? A hex? Until Maelwyn knew these things, she could not perform the right ritual to counter-attack it. She did not suspect the jewelry, though it was suspicious in itself. It was definately there for a reason, as heavily magicked as it was.

She asked Arakad to search within the Meer archives for certain spells. He agreed and took his leave. Shortly, after placing a quick Blessing of the Earth on Lady Sadira, Maelwyn took her leave, as well.

There was research to be done, and a potion to be brewed.
